i'm not that big a fan of Snowgoons... they make bangers, but from the shit i've heard they are way to one sided and sitting through an entire album from them is a chore in my experience... they are in desperate need of someone with good DJ/scratch skills too as i said before. the type of music they make really needs to have turntable work, otherwise it just feels incomplete

^^I kind of agree with your opinion. On the surface they tick all the right boxes but when you dig deep into their music a lot of it is pretty monotonous and samey. And you're right a lot of their production aches for some decent cutting and scratching. I did like that Goon Bap joint.

Snowgoons can make great beats, no doubt. They can be to repetitive though, and at times their beats sound meh as well. Their albums are alright, I like listening to them, but something is just missing...

I guess Viro is a good example

Damn. That is hip hop. Master of Arts. But what about

Not bad. Just alright beats though, not much else. Do dreams really come through? Drums are banging, but the song just doesn't hit your ears.

Then again you could listen to the originals.

They just give you different vibe. Snowgoons just give the bap. Originals give you a great feeling, Dance of the Damned isn't a happy song and the beat should suit it. It should give you the feeling you are dancing with the damned. Obviously not the best example as those are posthumous beats over original raps, but still.

Like I said, I like listening to Snowgoons. Black Snow II was enjoyable, I've listened to it quite a lot. Not coherant all the way though.

Anyway. Viro had a power of giving great feelings through his raps. R.I.P.

Last beat doesn't suit the song there either.

I AGREE!!! I've been bumping snowgoons since I was running the "urban music" dept when i was at college and loved there work since but its is repetitive the joint album with reef the lost cauze was there dopest effort

I agree, the beats due tend to blend together after while. But they are a nice vacation for me. They have new bangers with some OG artists, which is always enjoyable.

They killed it though with the Onyx WAKEDAFUCUP. shit still is enjoyable.

    looking forward to this.

Snowgoons did a good job making great beats for Onyx that fit their style on the #wakedafucup album
