im just stating what ive heard, that you borrowed money from your parents to pay these dudes, like youd ever admit to it though if true. and if no one else could have it, sure he would buy it, the mixtape comment is more about the way it was put together than about how it sounds. regardless, if its so great you wouldnt have fucked millions of fans out of the opportunity to buy and listen to it, you did this not giving a shit about wu-tang or their fans, just your bottom line. and then you sold it to a huge douchebag with some stupid 88 year clause. by the time thats up no one will give a shit about wu-tang clan if they even know who they are, and anyone who gives a fuck now will be dead or deaf...

So why you give so much of a fuck about a glorified mixtape? And no shame in borrowing money from my parents. It's just simply not true.

because you fucked millions of people out of hearing new wutang material. now only one person can here it. compiled like a mixtape or not, i dont doubt theres some fire on there, lots of artists have mixtapes better than their actual albums. but thats not so much the point, its that this album shouldve been shared with everyone, especially if it truely did recreate some of that old school wutang feel to it, which millions of fans wouldve loved to hear this day and age. and then you sold it to possibly one of the worst people on the planet right now. im not even going to air out everything ive heard(and i dont mean shit ive read online), but you pulled a snake move with the way you handled this. no one gives a shit about some artsy ass case or booklet, we just want the music, you basically shitted on millions of wutang fans, gave them a big fuck you, and none of them should back any of your future projects based on the way you handled this. and yeah we know, youre not going to be truthful about any of this to protect your own skin. well, snakes eventually shed their skin, im not making threats here, but youll get yours, that skin gonna shed eventually

    hmmmmm interesting.

see i heard Cilvaringz was involved on a few beats but i was unaware that it was 26 songs (amount or so as it appears in this thread)

Cilvaringz has been getting a pass from me due to working with Holo and Holo shouting him out in a track but thats the one and only thing i know about him and with all this new information coming to light...

i- i- i dont know what to think anymore.

There is one truth concerning Rings. Love him or Hate him.. The dudes production is incredible.

People can say I'm on his dick or what ever. Doesn't bother me one bit in the slightest.

Everything that dude has releases has been fire. I don't even mind his rapping.. haha Hate me yall!

And in that is the problem.. They'd of definitely loved to have heard it.. It would of sold 2-5k records.. More than likely less..

Made no money, been pirated by everybody, whilst Rings is sat there after 5 years of work and effort broke..

But it's cool dude... doesn't matter if he's broke.. As long as the pirates loving that old Wu sound! Bong Bong!

    yo.

if Cilvaringz is so good why cant he do this shit on his own then?

instead he did all this under the Wu Tang name. shit. a kid didnt even know about half of this shit until fucking today hahahahahaah.

im currently listening to his Death to Allah album mind you or his long awaited debut solo album thats just the name of one of the tracks on it and i will say RZA spits flamez on that one.

but after listening to a handful of tracks (still at it though) i really dont think we are missing much tbh.

i dont think any of these dudes hearts are really in it. Ringz just paid em for verses and i bet there aint a single verse by a general over two minutes long, shit. even a minute.

but yep. lets just sell to the rich and come out with these crazy stipulations for music nowadays instead of maintaining an actual job and making dope shit for the kids.

it is what it is. after only my short hour of research i really dont have any expectations for OUATIS.

p.s. i dont know how much money artists actually make on physical sales of albums but i always thought their income was the sum of all their products (merch etc) AND touring and whatnot

oh he shopped it, no one would buy it because "who the fuck is cilvaringz" for one. and ringz couldnt get rza to back it, rza didnt want to fuck with it because it was interfering with A Better Tomorrow. Rza only backed it when it was talked about like "what if we treat it like its a piece of art" and "can be in museum" and "possibly tour music/art festivals were people can listen to it"(which never happened) and "then when sell one copy in a fancy case for a bunch of money".

Death to Allah album? Who is this guy? I don't owe you nothing dude, not an album, not music and not some satisfactory decision that will fulfill your fucking needs, wants and expectations. I don't work for you, get that through your head. Nobody owes you anything. Artists are free to make their own decisions on what they do, simple. Live with it, deal with it. And the rest of you dumbos thinking you know the story, you're whats wrong with reporting and journalism today. You simply think you know it all, and just really don't. You only have your imagination and you start thinking up shit like 'yo, I know what happened, so yo, he got this money from his moms and pops right, and then RZA right,... bla di bla bla bla'... get a life dudes. Forget about this album. Lets just hope some more good music will come out the camp. I know Bazz and 4th are prepping up some bong bong shaboobaloop.

A OUATIS type album for the fans? The first one was for the fans. Remember? Cilva said so himself.

I was pretty butthurt about OUATIS but get the fuck over it dudes. I tried to belittle the project in the same way some are in this thread. Doing some research, most albums are made the way OUATIS was. Ringz knows the Wu sound and i'm sure the album is fucking great. I would love to hear it one day, but if I don't? So be it, cool concept that put the Wu on the map in a mainstream way in the media which is good.

I'm seeing the entire Clan at one of the biggest stages in Las Vegas on New Years Eve (Wu Years Eve) Axis Planet Hollywood. I don't think this event would've even been possible without the media exposure of OUATIS. I've seen several solo shows, met and got to talk to almost every Clan member except Uey and MK. So to see the Clan as a whole is on my bucket list of life. Thank you Ringz and RZA for putting the Wu name in the media. This might be a stretch but I really believe it.

Shit, whatever and whenever Ghost puts together the next Wu album, the general curiosity of peeps out there may actually buy it.

That is my final thought on OUATIS. Peace
