Awesome movie. It has a different feel to the original with the slower pace and the advanced effects but thats to its benefit. Even the parts that directly call back the original don't feel like they're being used as a crutch, as those moments often do in movie sequels. The story was great and the cast, mostly Gosling did a great job bringing it to life. It was weird seeing fat old Edward James Olmos and Avon Barksdale popping up in a couple scenes though.
