gave it two listens so far. overall it's not as good as the Jesus Christbearer Superstar EP. Anthai's production on that project was flawless and CB sounded focused throughout. the EP sounded like a cohesive project with just the right length too

Meanwhile the new album's got its fair share of bangers. Haffa Loaf Is Betta Than None and Fo Sho Sho Stll are my favs. The Black Knights of the Northstar track at the end is good too. Girls has a nice poppy summer vibe to it. the Extra, Extra single is ok


But there's problems too. The intro is a sound collage of media channel bits about his personal Chop Chop Ninja moment and it's way too long. Not an intro you want to revisit. On the other hand a few songs are extremely short and the best of them, Haffa Loaf... (which samples Biggie), plays at a much lower volume than the other tracks. The inclusion of Oooh is nice but also adds to the disjointed feel of this project since the track is so old by now. While the aforementioned EP felt like a real album this new release feels more like a random collection of songs, some of them good, some of them meh

also nobody should ever cut a track with Shaka Amazulu because that guy can't rap for shit

I'm gonna give this a few more listens today since some tracks haven't really registered with me yet. I might post some more thoughts afterwards. I'll discuss the bonus tracks when my physical copy arrives

I had expected more from Skarekrow on the beats tbh

What lee said is on point, This album is mostly older tracks recorded at various times for various protects, so it doesn't feel as cohesive an album as Jesus Christ Bearer Super Star is. That being said tho if your a fan of Skarekrow production get this shit.

I had a few more listens and some songs that didn't stand ot all that much at first clicked with me now like 'Rockin' and 'Outlaws'. 'The God' rocks too. I think 'The Duce' would work better w/o Shaka. First half of that song and the outro are tiiight

Skarekrow beats make more of an impact after repeated listens (like on 'Heavenly', I had to get used to the percussion)

i actually thought shaka sounded dope,, like leggazin fin type flow,,, i did not feel leggazin shit at first but it grew on the god personally but super duper interview all the same know watered down bs
