kenney signs nation's first city pay equity bill
I do not have many positive things to say about the city I live in but this latest bill I think is a home run for the working class man & woman.

I wonder how many jobs I had that lowballed my hiring hourly rate based on what I made at the previous jobs....The bill, which passed Council in December by a 16-0 vote, makes it illegal for employers to ask about previous salaries or to retaliate against a prospective employee for refusing to answer.
No more. Hopefully other cities follow suit.
