sooo this is actually coming out. Thoughts?
Destiny was probably in the top 5 videogame flops and disappointments of all time so #2 took me by surprise.
It did have some of the best core shooter gameplay imo but zero character and everything else, if they do this right and learn from the 1st one it could actually be good.

On Twitch, the game is always in the top ten. This looks like it'll be a success.

i think the developers kinda 'saved' destiny 1 with all the DLCs and money they pumped into it way after release. tbh i stopped playing a month or two after release when a huge chunk of their fanbase also left and you could already find tons of discounted/ returned copies at gamestop.
i'll give #2 a shot when it comes out though, i liked what they were trying to do with the 1st but it didnt seem quite complete (cant speak about the DLCs tho)

I just purchased D2. The gameplay on Twitch looks good.

I have never played even the first, how good is this joint ?

I'll start off with a positive statement: The game is good overall; However, this game is very similar to the first one in terms of its game mechanics. Nothing's really changed. It'd be nice to be able to have flying combat, space battles, flying to planet to planet, codex, or something totally DIFFERENT! The weapons are similar as well as the armor; there's no character background of Zavala, Ikora or Cayde; the Taken and Fallen, and Cabal are still running wild, and the Raid is wack!

Now, the story is fairly nice and leveling up doesn't require a lot of grinding. The public events can be summoned at anytime. There are three supers that don't require hours and hours of grinding in order to max it out.

You'll have to decide for yourself. Overall, I like the game but it is very similar to Destiny 1. This is the sequel. Come on!

i was legit kinda looking forward to this in hopes they would make some great additions to the foundation they had. the basic gameplay mechanics were some of the best for a FPS i ever played but just got bored with everything else in it

Don't get me wrong. In terms of gameplay, it's very enjoyable and better than the first one. So, you'll enjoy yourself.

Didn't people say the samething about Halo 2?
