How Do You Rate The Great Migration Against The Classic Killa Bee Albums?

I think this album has stood the test of time really well, lyrically and production wise, probably in my top 5 Killa Bee releases.

I haven't listened to Blindman for a while but I remember it being inferior to Migration, maybe I need to revisit though.

Do people but Migration up there with the likes of the Killarmy albums and Heavy Mental?

i'm probably in the minority here but comparing this album to clasics like "Cuban Linx", "Liquid Swords", "Ironman", "In Stereo", "Tical", "Wu-Tang Forever", "Heavy Mental", the grvediigaz two first albums and Sunz Of Man 1995-1999 output is blasphemous.

this is my opinion but i strongly prefer albums like "Nigga Please", "T2: Judgemet Day", "Beneath The Surface", "Uncontrolled Substance", "Blackout", "The Pillage" and "Immobilarity"...

it's probably better than "Golden Arms Redemption", 35% of "Digital Bullet" and "Lex Diamond Story". matter of fact, i wasn't a big fan of it at all, and i had such high hopes for it when he had produced "A Day to God..." and "The Birth", and i put on the song "The Pain" and absolutely LOVED IT!!! but then it went downhill fast, unlike 'Ringz "I".

so as an album, nah... to me he's a guy trying to enulate the Wu sound in the 2000s, something that can't be done because that sound was as much about the time those records were made in as the actual sounds and samples. "School For The Blindman" was stronger.

Bronze can be a good producer at times, he's nothing like the original Wu-Elementz but whenver he produces for a Wu member I noticed he really brings it. i loved the songs on Masta Killa's second solo and the RZA stuff i mentioned before.. the track he di for Rae was sick as fuck too but i don't really fuck with him.

IIRC there were some mastering issues on the first album, like on that joint with Killa Sin

Great Migration was very lo-fi which might put some people off but I think those 2 albums are classics, Wu Meets Indie too.

I think Claa your tripping bro....Wu-Tang is more then just the 9 Generals Sunz of Man Killarmy etc... The brand needed a resurgence... And Bronze was brought in because he gave the brand a new breathe of fresh air...I def put it up there.. he sounded more wu-tang then anybody else at the time..... Wu-needed him...PEACE!!

Agreed, I don't remember that other album, but also recall it not touching his first album.

While the great migration is dope, I would not put it up there with those others...not many albums Fuck with them. 4th and og killa beez at the height of the wu movement...I don't know man

I don't really give a fuck about comparing what with what, but this was the last really hard bangin' wu joint. This album captured a bit of the ruggedness of the early wu shit. A massive standout among all the other later wu stuff.

I think I only heard that second album once. Maybe twice. Granted it did come out at a thyme when I wasn't really listening to hip hop, but my recollection of it is that it was just a really boring drag.
