An Odd series of events took place inside the bottom of a Pyramid. A long standing Pharaoh by the name of MENES unearthed a cold sarcophagi dusty like the grooves of a record. Without any strain he removed the lid and out flooded a luminous white light, followed by a Golden Masked fellow. A rhythmic conversation ensued, followed by barrels of finely aged wine and snare drums compressed by the SP-404. Feeling the overbearing and resounding importance of this meeting, MENES decided to no longer rebury the Golden Mask. “Together, we shall have a Party, Right here in this Pyramid!” MENES exclaimed. The response, although underwhelming, did not deter the almost old Pharaoh into less enjoyment of the task.

Golden Flasks! Golden Food! Golden Pharaohs! Golden Servants! Golden Statues! Golden Mics! Golden Turntables! Everything was glimmering with the unmistakable aura of Gold. But what is a Party without guests? Once his throne and tomb were in order ; emeralds and falcons oscillating, MENES sent his most treasured bird all across the lands with a note attached to her leg : TO ALL WHO WISH TO REVEL FOR ETERNETIES , COME TO MY PYRAMID AT ONCE!

To the COLD NORTH for the Basement Dwellaz, To POSEIDONs Den for sea/swordz, To a Dirty NY Slum for 7rinth, To the FOREST FORTRESS for Purple Dialect, To a CORPSE LITTERED TRENCH for Maximus Da Mantis, and To the BRICKS for El Da Sensei, the bird flew with unquestionable accuracy and speed. Gathering as many beautiful woman and blunt wrapz as she could along the way. The day finally came ; and the Party goers began to arrive one by one. Slowly but surely the “Party in a Pyramid” had begun. And the rest is written in soundwaves that are bouncing around our universe right now.

i havent reviewed or listened to any new no name hip hop artists like us in a long ass time. like a lil under a year id say.

im extremely picky when it comes to what i like so my reviews tend to come off douchy, id say.

i listened to this tape until that shit came up on bandcamp forcing me to buy it.

the beats on here are fucking ill. there are a few that i would have like to have all for myself.

i think you got way too many features thats always a turn off for me but whatever. its your project.

i mean youre doing your thing coming hard.

im not really feeling it one or another though like i said im very picky when it comes to my music. and nothing really grabbed me one way or another on here, your voice got annoying to me as it sounded like you were trying too hard to sound hard. playing too much with the tone of your voice up and down. none of the lyrics really grabbed me either. nothing made me laugh, nothing was "profound" the rhymes werent that intricate just not me i guess.

but gotta respect the work. the tapes, the merch. moving shit is ill. did you put all that shit together or did the record label?

i see your from London, Ontario... one of the best bands out right now (imo) are from there. Single Mothers, you familiar with them at all?

the tape is bonkers. the whole album is off the chain. love the beats, the lyrics, delivery. you've got a few songs where your delivery / voice is kind of like Sondoobie (Funkdoobiest), dope.

I literally don't take anything personally man, no need to lessen its effect by saying your picky and or douchey, Music is all opinion and thats PEACE to me.

I think by only listening to 5-7 tracks though [ I assume thats when bandcamp cut you off ] you definitely missed alot of the steez/concept or whatever, but If you didn't want to listen to the rest it makes just as much sense to just cut it off aha.

The beats are all crazy man ; Golden Mask / Eon Ra is a beast on the boards, without him this album definitely would not be what it was. Glad you enjoyed those. As for my voice / fluctuations / lack of, thats truly how I sound yo, lol. I don't change my voice at all with intentions of sounding hard, seriously. Its funny that you don't like my voice because thats what most people are intrigued by. I apparently have a voice FOR hip-hop. I can see how the "INTENSITY" may be off putting though, I feel the same way at times. Ive been trying to cool down a little more here and there, because sometimes it does sound "forced". It's not, I just get hype as fuck in the booth.

I adressed the "Feature" situation to NOEL in the hip-hop shop if you want to check the reasoning [ or lack thereof ] for that point.

Lyrics... I don't know man. Its such a funny world to try and impress people anymore. I agree humour is a major benefactor to music in general, and I say a lot of shit that makes myself laugh but I don't think it resonates to others. I think that writing extraordinarily deep or profound lines sometimes escapes me due to the fact I focus more on the way shit sounds / flows. I have written so much music, and I went with a more 'classic' ignaant 90's hiphop vibe on this one. I agree with you though; I do lack those things at time, heavily on this album. None of these are excuses, But I think if you dug a little deeper you would find some interesting / humorous shit.


All the merch and shit I did for myself. I have a lot of connects throughout the States and here in Canada and I know that digital sales only do so much. So although the label is selling all the items from there storefront, I did everything to make it happen. They also put it on TUNECORE for me [itunes spotify pandora ect ect]. Definitely hustling this shit yo ; I think its hustle worthy. The initial investment versus the slow trickle is a hard one if your hard pressed for cash, but I'll make some good money once everything is gone.
