really wish we would have gotten the full True Master track.. i remember MK hyping up True Master's contribution in his interview with HipHopDX so why cut it down to a 1 minute skit. granted it really has a lot of impact that way (like Ghostface's "ICE" for example) but i feel one more verse certainly wouldn't hurt that impact.

9th Wonder did his thing on production here, glad he had more features than just the title track which has been out for some years and was even on 9th's own album if i remember correctly. "Trouble" and "Down With Me" are standouts.. Sean Price's verse is really good, i'm glad that wasn't leaked early. matter of fact beside the title track and "Noodles Pt. 2" i haven't heard the other tracks more than perhaps a couple of times so i have no problem with some of them being out for a while.

i feel the first half is stronger than the second half but besides "Calculated" it all works as an album.. i will have to go back to "Selling My Soul", which i thought was very forgettable, to see what can be used from there. as they were recorded in tandem i believe that the best joints from both will work to create an even more insane album that really flows like just that, an LP. from what I remember "Things Just Ain't The Same", "Soul & Substance" and "R U Listening?" are the best cuts and they would all sound good on the Loyalty joint.

but big up to Masta Killa for coming through with some ill Wu shit this year!!

Even that "Skit" is a blatant cut n paste job!!! (only Wu nerds would know) MKs verse is from Mathematics "Shorty" track from 2013. Plus on most songs hes badly outshined by his guests, I love both Noodles though. Whats up with his one verse songs?????
yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh MK got outshine particially on own album especially with crooked i like bruh that shit was a mean ass verse

Default Listening to Loyalty is Royalty

VERY dope shit. So far every beat has a life of it's own, verses are fire, method man is really on fire right now. MK, (and/or) whoever he's working with, are focused on composing songs on this project and it comes through.

it's a dope album. it's gotten more plays already at casa Towers than many of the other generals' recent releases.

Tiger and the mantis is probably the best track on there to my ears, along with Noodles Pt 1

Yes. The album is solid. Is it fair to state that Loyalty is Royalty is a Wu-Tang classic and the slept on album of the year?

The single actually ends up being one of the best tracks on the album. At first I was confused, then I thought it jammed, then in context with the album and the FLEX sample, it's fucking great.

It's a solid album. Wouldn't call it a Wu classic though. These no name guests really hold it back. Peace

ive been meaning to provide some feedback on the album but have been crazy busy.

Definitely worth the purchase. Down with me is a highlight for me...I actually prefer that over tiger and the mantis. Still a dope song, but mk's voice on that track is like he's whispering and flow just sounds lazy to me. Deck kills it though. After seeing all the positive comments for that one I was just a bit disappointed, maybe expectations were too high.

Rest of the album is either solid or at least listenable...except calculated. That shit is unnecessary hot garbage imo.

Unfortunately I'm only just now receiving my pre-ordered copy today. I had to message Nature Sounds and ask what was up with the delay. Apparently to those that ordered the Deluxe Bundle (nobody) there was an issue with the manufacturing of the exclusive T-shirts and they were behind schedule by at least a week, maybe 2. They did offer the Digital Download on release day, but since it was 256kbps and not 320kbps like listeners want, I passed on that. Seems like no artist website is offering 320kbps for their digital copies, which is a shameful setback for record labels trying to stop torrenting. I figure I can just rip my physical CD in 320k with WinAmp, edit the metadata with MP3Tag, and load it on my oldschool SanDisk MP3 Player (yes I still have one of those - my phone isn't my 'everything' I like to keep my battery alive memory cleared up and music on its' own device - fuck an iPod cuz fuck iTunes forced file conversions).

Now as I'm sitting waiting for the package to arrive, the Tracking goes 'out-of-service-at-this-time' on USPS. And to think, I paid an extra $17 for shipping. Smh.

Just a forewarning to any who might be wondering where is their Deluxe package.

Last thyme I listened to this I wasn't really into it. I don't know or like any of the guests other than the Wu guys, prodigy n Sean p. There's 2 songs which are mostly guys I don't know and they're both complete throwaways. The rza skit is painfully embarrassing too. The other songs r all good or ok, but I'm not much interested in hearing it more.
