When I see some of Busta's more recent freestyles (well, 'freestyles') during radio interviews etc I think he's still able to pull off his trademark flow, which requires a lot of breath control and a good sense of pace

the weight issue isn't helping of course

I think Busta still has it in him but hasn't shown much lately.

Snoop is enjoyable but imo he's never had anything substantial to say, except for his first album. 'Tha Last Meal' was indeed his last classic Westcoast album. The top notch production and Kokane's crooning elevated that LP to G.O.D. status, it wasn't just Snoop.

Props to both Snoop and Busta for staying relevant in the game though.

There's a lot of rappers out there whose flow and lyrical content have been up and down over the years. I'm thinking of N.O.R.E. and Fat Joe for example.

Fat Joe is another great example. I only fuck with his first 3 albums after that he went as GAYPOP as Ja Rule.

I'm going to say Tha Last Meal was not only his last good album but only his second good album. Never has anyone lived off a debut more than Nas than Snoop did

Busta and Snoop is spot on and I'll add Eminem to the list.

I'm gonna disagree on Fat Joe. Pretty much all of his singles is a hard pass and his albums aren't the greatest, but he practically always has a couple of hard hitting dope tracks in there. He hasn't really fallen off as much, he just makes a lot of radio singles.

Agreed. With the right producer I reakon Joe could put out a dope lp in 2017. Dude can still rap his ass off. Every single he puts out is hard as fuck.

Infact, That album he just put out with Remy Ma is real good.

Busta was dope on that last ATCQ LP so he still has the skills, he just needs to apply them elsewhere.

I think the problem comes when he (or any old head) tries to do trap, theres a clear generational divide between 90s/00s rap and Trap. I don't think I've ever heard an older rapper sound good on trap beats, maybe certain southern rappers like 3 6 but what they were doing before trap was basically proto trap so they don't count.

They think its going to make them relevant, but it basically highlights how old they are. Busta is supposedly working on ELE 2 with a dream cast of producers. If he tries to be modern as middle aged man the project will fail spectacularly if he manages to finish it at all.

On Snoop, I don't think hes fell off at all. 7 Days of Funk, Cuzznz, Thats My Work, Bush? If you like chilled out west coast G shit all that stuff is dope and up there with his best work. His more conventional studio LPs have been mostly weak after 'The Blue Carpet Treatment' though, he should hold off from putting out so much material. Some of his older albums deserve more appreciation too imo.

Lol. Busta's incline bench is 315lbs. He's real on the mic and on the bench.

In regards to Snoop Dogg, yes, he's released classics. Paid tha Cost to Be Da Boss is one of his best.

Snoops Bush project was good, but he releases bs a lot so idk about it being a 'fall off'. Doggystyle makes all of his bs forgivable though

    1.) DMX

    2.) Nelly
-Busta stated in an interview that he thought that Nelly is one of the worst rappers ever.

    3.) 50 Cent
-He never released a classic. Get Rich or Die Tryin' is old.

he throws a mean protein shake but apart from that he looks like he's wheelchair ready

    still a good rapper though

yeah that release had a lot of nice songs. But 'Tha Last Meal' had more of well rounded cohesive album feel imo
