I will take your word for it. It's a different mind set. Maybe Americans don't believe in taxing as a system at all? So if the rich pay fewer taxes, that's a good sign for the average American?

I think all of this stuff is fascinating. Talking with US citizens on here has given me a much more nuanced and in depth view of how a lot of Americans might see things.

Part of it is not caring or being a bitch ass hater like tooch said, the other part is generally not thinking taxes have a point, and most of it is rich people through out time have convinced poor ppl to think the way the want them to think.

Plus the US government has never looked like it needed more money as much as it looks like a wasteful skunt.

I don't agree with tooth that moderates voted Trump in. Moderates didn't vote. Trump didn't win as much as Hilary lost. Trump's base came out but he lost numercially. He just happened to win in the right places in the electoral college and so many Dems stayed home cause of Hilary that nobody cared to dispute the L.
