albums that i listen to FRONT TO BACK. skits (if any) including.

Aesop Rock - Labor Days and None Shall Pass
Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons (not my fav by them but i dont skip any of those tracks)
    Canibus - 2000 BC
    DMX - It's Dark
Dr. Dooom - First Come First Served
    GZA - Liquid Swords
    Gravediggaz - 6 Feet Deep
Hail Mary Mallon - Are You Going to Eat That?
Holocaust - Blue Sky Black Death Presents The Holocaust
Jean Grae - The Evil Jeanius
KA - Honor Killed the Samurai
Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon
Killah Priest - Planet of the Gods (havent listened to Heavy Mental in a while forget if there are skippable tracks on that one or not)
Kanye West - Graduation and 808's and Heartbreak
Kool Keith - Matthew and Sex Style
Nacho Picasso - Stoned and Dethroned
    P.O.S. - Audition
    Raekwon - OB4CL

21 i think if i counted right. and i didnt even mention the ones that were straight off the dome.

that was just a lil mix of the most recent hip hop ive been listening to while at work.
some interesting stuff on there, i can't believe anyone can listen to Sex Style front to back often, but fair enough lol (enjoyable album all the same). haven't listened to nacho picasso for a long time, will have to check out that album. really enjoyed those Aesop Rock albums and Atmosphere at various stages, might need to revisit them this week on the daily commute. thanks.

and for the clown who said "you're not much a hip hop fan if you can't name 20 albums you listen to all the way through", i pretty much don't listen to any album front to back, across all genres, so i guess i'm not a music fan at all. thanks for the commentary, cunt.

    predictable.

was going to put MBDTF but i usually skip the last track.

and when it comes to Atmosphere. God Loves Ugly only has one track i skip. the, we came here to slit your throat track but if im in okay mood ill play it. and yes i even play out the rehashed version of god loves ugly AND Shrapnel. that album is OG but since we were going FRONT TO BACK i omitted it. awesome tape though. ima spin it at work monday in matter of a fact.

and if you have ever listened to my Mister Yo shit im sure you can see there is a huge Kool Keith Sex Style influence. so its only fitting. the skits are sexy with them bitches and hilarious. lolz. i even listen to the silence to get to the Bald Headed Girl track. hahahah

and when it comes to Nacho Stoned and Dethroned was his latest tape with BSBD and there aint any wack features (there may be no features at all i think) or honestly weak tracks. its smooth and doesnt get annoying like some of his tapes.

i coulda went on but whatever. im like Noel. no matter what genre if i cant listen to an album without skipping shit you may be getting swept under the rug and forgotten. cause obviously they're kinda dumb.

like if im just chilling and put my shit on shuffle what are the chances i hear ONE good song from an artist. but if they got good albums the chances of me hearing multiple good songs by them increases. like id put them two Bhad Bhabie tracks on my ipod but im not going to scroll through my shit to listen to one track and then when its over with i gotta pull out my ipod again and pick another artist to listen to. smh.

    to each their own.

hm, i tend to listen to music in my car most of the time these days, i usually make massive playlists according to genre or some label. if it's something i haven't heard before i'll listen through fully a few times before editing the tracks out i dislike, never to hear them again. maybe i am missing out on some tracks that would grow on me, idk, but life is too short i feel to listen to mediocre music.

if i listen to an album i'll usually skip at least a couple of tracks - the only time i don't is if i'm listening to vinyl, which is a rarity at the moment.

My eldest brother, owner of several thousand cd's (almost all terrible, no doubt) is exactly like this. Even with the final statement regarding attitude.

For me personally I'd rather hear a somewhat cohesive or at least in some way defined album, that is at least consistently decent, than a playlist of a mix of my favourite songs. I don't do playlists. Actually I have 3 of them. 1 is one of nostalgic songs from artists I otherwise don't listen to, 1 is songs by artists I listen to, that I have an especially strong emotional connection with, and one is an edited division bell which cuts out the shit n keeps it to a great 45 minute album.

Otherwise I'm strictly albums, nigga. Each to their own tho. I overstand ur approach.

I just listened to Red's first two albums back to back again. I don't think you'll find many rap albums based upon P funk by one artist that sound so radically different from each other.

    First album is party funk.

    Second album is murky funk.

Red took a real commercial risk with the beats on Dare Iz A Darkside imo.

Also I'm surprised as to how fresh Red's Whut still sounds. It has aged really well. Does not sound dated at all.

As you can tell it's been a while since I listened to Red's solo discography.

A risk I am glad he took. He really needs to start making his own beats again

yeah his rhyming never gets dating. Didn't notice that till I listen to more of his albums and realized he has rapped the same for 20 years and hasn't sounded outdated once.
