I just read Belgian born Mathias Cormann is gonna be acting PM in Australia for 5 days when the PM is abroad on a trip. Bless vice PM Barnaby Joyce for not keeping it in his pants haha and forfeiting duh keys to a true Waffle Master.

Cormann was born in the small German speaking part of Belgium, in Eupen, a city I visit frequently.

How is he as a politician? We don't hear much about him in duh home country. He's on finances, right?

Steve Smith as in the gridiron football player?

i was at this 'sports bar/restaurant' a couple weeks ago to take advantage of their two hour happy hour drink prices and they had cricket on, it made me think of TH and Noel. as an athlete and avid baseball fan as well as partaking in the occasional 18 holes of golf, i was very much captivated by the game. although i do not fully understand much about it.

half the time them guys were hitting the ball/cricket and then nobody was doing anything. then there was a ring around the whole field. and then they would be at bat like two sometimes three times in a row.

awfully queer if you ask me. it might be one of those things that i gotta do to actually know how its fully played.

good time though, got pretty drunk. dont remember who was playing.

    Gridiron football?

No I mean Steve Smith the cricketer. Easily the most dominant athlete in the world atm.

What do you mean by ‘at bat 2 or 3 times in a row’ you keep batting until you’re out lol

they would hit the cricket and then bat again. and it seemed to me that the cricket went into fair play.

if you are familiar with baseball it was like they hit it in a gap in the outfield and instead of running around the bases (like baseball) these cricketers would bat again.

Yeah that’s the point and why it’s better than baseball. Some batsman have batted over 10 hours, I think Sir Len Hutton took 3 days to score his 364.

What do you mean fair play?

hmmmm. this is all very interesting. a 10 hour at bat!!?? wtf. so you just keep hitting until you are "out" but how the fuck do you get out then other than striking out.

if this is the case, i wouldnt say cricket is better than baseball for that reason. baseball is a rather strategic, and very athletic sport which that element seems to be lacking from cricket. there also appeared to be no art of running the bases and once a cricket was hit there is nothing for the other players to do but retrieve the cricket like a dog. so the only thing cricket is about then is being a batsman or a bowler...

those white lines are out of bounds so if a batter hits it over those lines (unless its caught) they get a strike and bat again. unless they have two already you cant be called out on strikes by foul balls.

there didnt seems to be any boundaries in cricket other than that ring i mentioned that i saw a ball roll to around the whole playing field and then the stands. i saw one guy put a cricket in the stands. and then he just kept batting. if it were baseball where he hit the cricket out would have been a foul ball. but obviously this isnt baseball and im just trying to understand.

i tried reading how the scoring works and that was all just a mess of information that i couldnt figure out for the life of me.

How you figure cricket doesn’t take athleticism?

video has been disabled by the video owner.

it takes athleticism. with or without me watching that video.

what i meant to say was i dont see how it could be strategic. hence why i brought up base running.

Lol strategy is literally the whole game. That’s ridiculously silly there son. Where you put your fielders, how you rotate your bowlers, how you approach the game with batting: aggressive, cautious, trying to win, trying to survive, the bowling plans to the batsman: line and length approach.

Yo Mr, watch the highlights of Australia v NZ tonight in the T20. There’s 3 formats of cricket, I don’t care much for T20 but it’s easier for noobs to get in to; you aren’t ready for test match cricket
