but lowkeys and akalas fire in the booths kill rzas.

they also rhythm off the top of their heads(non of the bars used in the following video are use in any of Akalas albums/tracks.. and he doesnt need a fucking phone for his rehearsed freestyle.

I don't really understand people who (seem to) judge MCs on strictly technical parameters (or just very few parameters in general). For example: The bloke in the vid you posted has some incredible skills, no doubt. But I dunno... this is *music*, not a sport. MC stands for Master of Ceremony. And IMO Burke has more charisma in his pinky than this dude Akala has in his whole body. He's switching up not just rhyme patterns, but whole styles & personas with an ease and confidence that is hard to match. Dismissing his performance as "weak ass shit" is just straight up ridiculous, homie.

Also: I don't get the obsession with off the dome freestyling. It's just a gimmick. Fun for a while but gets boring quickly. Would you wanna read a book that was written faster than it can be read? I for one generally prefer written verses and freestyling focusing on delivery and emotion. Take ODB for example. Doesn't get better than that.

    Peace.

    Agreed.

9999 times out of 10000 I don't want to hear no off the top shit, it sounds garbage. Also Akala blatantly writes and performs that shit multiple times at home in the weeks coming up to him doing fire in the booth man lol. I fuck with Akala and his sister they both put out great music.

judge him by his work, he's produced more awesome music than Burke during that time period. probably even greater than rzas. ontop of that he employs local people, he doesnt hire A&R's or sell his soul to a major record label, he has all his own MASTERS, he writes books, he writes graphic novels, he lectures at oxford university, he's a man of the people, he's always on the streets.... he spits realness.. not like these fake ass 5% who still rap about dissing black women, or robbing or killing.. or showing how much they have achieved by living it up in rented mansions, only to be broke again a few years later..

why not check Akala, instead of saying he has no charisma. when you obviously have no idea who the man is.. comparing him to a nothing like Burke is a ridiculous,

i dismissed wu performance as weak, cos they wasnt FREESTYLES,, fire in the booth is for freestyles.. least come with some new shit,. not rehearsed songs that are on your albums.. thats not a freestyle.. maybe freestyling is a gimmick. but this radio show/charlie sloth is all about FREE's.

Check akala out he is a dope MC. with more charisma than Burke, more albums sales than burke, more world tours than burke. and he actually spits knowledge.. something that wu have sold out from.. besides your all 10% but dont worry i still diss black woman and lust after the same shit that got us in this mess in the first place.
