Album is great. It's exactly what you'd expect from Rock. production is nice the whole way through. Bars upon bars..
also, If I understand correctly he is building a new Heltah Skeltah LP at the moment.

For me the production let this album down. It could've been better. I expected more from this album.
On a related note, lately I've been bumping the Heltah Skeltah DIRT album which was a strong effort imo.
I am really interested in that album Planet Rock he recorded while he was signed to D.J. Lethal's Lethal Dose label. If it is anything like the beats he was giving to Everlast for the Truth Crushed To Earth Shall Rise Again album, that could easily be a masterpiece.
I was very underwhelmed by this album.
But that's because he should have dropped a proper solo debut like 15 years ago.
Of course Rock beasted on this album lyrically, but the production was mediocre as fuck.
Using Ron Brownz production in 2017?
Using Ron Brownz production was never a good look, even 10 years ago.
Listened to the album and I agree on the production.. I now realize why Ruck said they used to disagree on beat choices. He said that Rock likes to pick smooth, calm beats.
Rock has now officially landed in that seemingly ever growing club of classic hardcore, underground hip hop artists that cannot pick good beats to save their life.
Phil Anastasia exec produced this album. The beats let this down for me. I prefer his Slangin Rock mixtape/compilation to this.
