just watched this earlier this morning actually.. always held Black Thought in the highest regard and this is simply more proof of his status as one of the absolute top tiers.

question - which is the better display of insane lyricism and A+ flow from these past few days.. Black Thought's Funk Flex freestyle or Eminem's "Offended"?

heard this earlier and it reminded to that i haven't listened to the roots for soo long - definitely one of the groups (along with wu tang) that got me into hip hop in the first place. black thought is one of those criminally underrated mc's, not that it really matters i guess, the roots have gone on to do many things beyond just pumping out albums.

That pyt roots mash up is incredible. I got into the Roots late (a year ago) and I'm glad cause I'm still discovering shit. If you have recommendations I wouldn't mind hearing them.
