Thread: Best comeback album in Wu/Beez history?

  1. #1

Question Best comeback album in Wu/Beez history?

I was listening to 'War Poetry' again today (such an ill album) and I came up with this question because of it ...

What do you consider to be the best comeback album in Wu or Killa Beez history? I mean, after a period out of the game (like Dom P) or after a really bad album?

    Curious to hear your thoughts.

    Peace.

"Supreme Clientele" without a doubt.. that was an amazing feeling getting that album after damn near every single general had released a solo album that was considered disappointing at the time.

What about 421? Considering how much of a let down the Prequel was and how the majority of the time between T2000 & 421 Meth was putting out wack shit.

Def not Cuban Linx 2 even though the hype surrounding that album was huge.

I definitely agree 421 is a huge comeback album...I definitely disagree that OB4CLII is NOT one :-)

I can't put SC because Ghost ain't fall off. I have to say OBFCLII cause Raekwon fell off hard. Immobalarity didn't live to the hype, Lex Diamonds was weak, I'm telling y'all that 8 Diagrams fiasco gave him a second jolt. That album had wu corp going crazy and the hip-hop comunity in general. As far as Killa Beez I'll have to say Dom Pachino, Domination was cool, Unreleased has bangers, After the Arsenal album he was just putting out weak material left and right IMO. Taking that time off and coming back with War Poetry was worth it. Probably his best or second best album. Nah you know what, I have to put KP "The offering" over Dom Pachino, Priest was at a dead end with black august. Even though that's my 4th favorite priest album. His career was at a dead end, he followed up Heavy Mental with View from Masada which was a huge step down, Priest hood was cool but we expected more. Nigga came outta nowhere with The Offering then he was just killing shit from that album until the PWOWR. That whole time period he was on fire.

I'd say SC and Cuban Linx 2 but Hollow Dartz said Ghost had never fallen off

"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:15-16)
