    as far as I could tell those were all new Pete Rock beats. but to tell you the truth I am only partially familiar with Pete's discography

    another reason why I think the beats are new is that some of the tracks have slight mastering or mixing issues on the beat. I assume this wouldn't be a problem with previously used beats

    yeah these are original Pete Rock beats, i would imagine he hooked up Cappadonna with a couple of beat tapes, nice loops, etc.
    it doesn't seem that there were any Pete Rock / Cappadonna studio sessions for the mixtape, but it's all Cappadonna over exclusive Pete Rock beats tho.. i guess DJ Intrigue handled the mixing and cuts. Pete Rock usually adds his adlibs and own cuts.
