Hollow Dartz, much respect : great picks and good thread idea. Dirty Weaponry is my top pick too.

    Salute!

@ hotnikks : what are your fav tracks on The Prophecy? Mine would be Killa From The Villa. I never did get into the album all that much, I'll listen to it this evening. Would you put the album in your KB top 15?

    1. Heavy Mental / The Last Shall Be First
    3. The Pillage

    The rest, in no order...

    BSBD Present The Holocaust
Pop Da Brown Hornet - The Underground Emperor
Bronze Nazareth - The Great Migration
    The 3 Killarmy albums

I don't really fux wit' compilations at all, but I guess the last spot would have to go to The Swarm, cos it was a truly outstanding compilation. Also, I haven't heard The Lost Generation in that fucking long that I don't even really remember it, but that may be worthy of a place. I'll have to try to remember to give it a listen again.

This is gonna make me go back and listen to The Offering. It's been awhile n I don't recall it being top 10 worthy. Maybe I slept on it. I feel Great Migration n War Poetry would be in my top 10. I give those 2 albums more credit cuz they didn't come out in the golden era of Wu. Peace and nice job.

    Dope list Hollow.

It’s telling that 9 of the top 10 albums all dropped between 1997 and 2001. It really was the golden era for Wu-Fam releases.

It also shows how many wack releases come out these days when the most recent album in the top 10 is The Offering from 2007. I’d maybe put War Poetry in my top 10 but I can’t think of any other recent Wu-Fam joints that have stood out.

I’m gunna think about my top 10 now. I think Dirty Weaponry will be my number 1 as well, one of my all time favourite albums.

    Peace!

This thread made me listen to Heist of the Century again. Apart from maybe two Carlos 6 July Broady joints (sound slightly too upbeat/shiny suit man era to me) on the first half of the album this is indeed a much better album than what I remembered about it. The second half especially (starting with track 10) is dooope.

It's a shame one of those 4th Disciple beats is so short, I wish it had been a full song.

Dope album for sure. I was wrong for not giving this album its due praise.

The beat of «*love*» produced by 4th disciple is absolutely wonderful.

Agreed, very dope list. I never considered dirty weaponry the best release, but now that I think about it, I may have bumped it more than any other affiliate release. It doesn't hurt that Holocaust destroyed 2 tracks on there too. Subconsciously, it might be my favorite.

Not sure about The Prophecy as others have mentioned. There are some classic tracks but some whack over as well. If the advanced version would have been released, maybe a different story. Favorites on that one are killa from the vills, warrior chiefs, nightmare on zu st, and undeniable force.

I'm really surprised that black castle is getting so much love. My internal hype left me really disappointed when I first heard it, after tracks like I declare war, hidden chamber, and army brickade. Might need to give that another listen

Yeah that "5th Disciple" Track is just too ill. And LA ripped that shit. HE had bars for days on that album.
