I think he moved on to other creative venues because he's just that type of person
he had millions long before doing hollywood work
Let the man live his life.
As far as music goes, I don't think he compromised at all. He always wanted to do something experimental. If he was just out for money it would be easy for RZA to follow trends, make pop beats, throw a bunch of guest features on Clan albums etc. About as close as Wu got to pop was 'Gravel Pit' but even that isn't a betrayal of the Wu style, it fits the sound of The W perfectly even with its Pop hook.
As far as movies go, yeah hes in a lot of trash movies and TV shows purely to raise his profile or do favors for the money men.
NO.
Hes different now, but people change and also their interests change.
Yeah but he did it by selling out lol. Pharell has his hands in 10x more than Rza and hasn't come out to make stupid statements like 'if you wear the clothes I sold you for decades and promoted the police will shoot you, if you button up your shirt and tuck it in, they won't shoot you', trying to sell potential ben wenches to...russell crowe, constantly scamming everyone around you, or giving people outside of the genre more respect than people within.
Dude was smart in like 1990, but too many people said that to him and he stopped listening to other people from that point on. Now he's way behind and things he has to be a sellout to live in an age with no gate keepers.
lol if providing for a family equals selling out, then yes he's a sellout. But c'mon. Show me one artist who's been making the same type of music for 25 years and is still relevant to this day

Oh, DJ Muggas is not the same DJ Muggs he used to be. He might not have gone as far as RZA but he definitelly moved on. And we need to ask one question - is Muggs really relevant for today's hip-hop? Not only old heads but for the young generation. I've heard many times people mention Wu as their inspiration but rarely Cypress Hill.

I think Muggs is comfortable doing what he does and genuinely does not care for going any further than where he is. As long as he can take care of his own personal business, I think he really does not care how much he sells. He has come to terms with the fact that Cypress Hill is not going to do their nineties numbers anymore.
how do you know when you're a classic sjw? when you say that gangs aren't a problem at all in the US and that every cop is a 'racist' and wants to shoot you
