Dope. I don't hear a lot of progression in his work but that might be for the better.

bitter dose, blakktape + this are the only albums i've heard this year that i can imagine still listening to in 6 months time.

the production is great - that pete rock The Steiner's track is a treat and a testament to how simple hip hop production can be amazing. haven't heard elzhi for so long after overdoing his stuff and getting a bit sick of his one speed flow, but he sounds as good as ever on that track.

i feel like gunn makes better music with each project - still not my favourite rapper by any stretch, but he puts together great records.

it doesnt seem like westside/ conway has been releasing music very long (relative to others) but I think they can already be in the discussion of greatest discography of all time

The album has a classic 90s feel and the beats and features are dope. Westside Gunn is tough to listen to for this length of time though. The same thug cliches, flow and whiny voice show up on every track. Maybe I overlooked it before because I always played Griselda on shuffle with other artists before now.

I miss Busta Rhymes releasing albums, the music he made back in the day is so far ahead of what rappers seem content to do vocally now, and production wise too. Even the sample and guest verse Busta contributes here are so much more versatile and creative than the rest of the rapping.

Agreed. Even though Conway and Benny been putting out music for nearly 10 years

Between the whole camp I don't think they've put out a single shit project.

    Production is always Top Tier.

They been cosigned by the old gods.

    Reakwon
    Prodigy
    Sean Price
    Kool G Rap
    Doom
    9th Wonder
    Alchemist
    Green Lantern

    + many more...

I fuck with all their releases.

i think you do get used to wsg over time and his voice isn't as jarring - the adlibs still sometimes still rankle with me (especially the giggling on tracks he doesn't even have a verse on), but it's not big deal.

Always check for grizelda shit! Another dope album from westside. His voice can really grate on my ears but the 90’s flavor, and sound is something my ears have missed

Ghost needs these kind of beats for the Wu album. Alchemist and Daringer are no brainers for the job.

'Amherst Station' should have been Ghost, I think if he wrote that short story he would have made it a bit clearer. I think Westside Gunn was talking about selling drugs and his high school girlfriend snitching on him to his PO? I don't know, it was a bit sloppy imo.

    But yeah overall dope album.

    Agreed.

Infact a whole LP produced by Alc and Daringer is exactly what that shit needs to be! 7 songs a piece.

I've DL'ed the album, but I've yet to listen to it.

Not big on Westside Gunn, or Conway, or the rest of Griselda overall.
