Let's show more appreciating for the album. i feel like this took a turn and now we're breaking it down for it's flaws.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
i'm remember when I bought this album in high school, I could not stop listening to the clutch, never again, execute them, the whole damn album is dope
Never Again gave me the chills back then. Such a strong track.. Remedy did come through on this one. This and On the Strength had all my homies that wasn’t into hip hop give it up
The Wu had such high quality control back then. I remember buying it and classifying it as 'yeah just a comp, cool, but whatever whatever, I need to get a group album or a general's album', giving it a few cursory spins, and then a few years later, like I posted earlier on in the thread, upon relistening, discovering the album is just BANGER after BANGER after BANGER.Originally Posted by Hollow Dartz
It's a bona fide classic when you listen to it now (for most people back then it was in an instant classic anyway too), so just think of all the GREAT albums we got back then if some just seemed to get lost in the shuffle (at least to me)

This album is tough af! I lost it a long time ago but I remember never skipping a beat. The legacy joint and justice for all are dope. I dig that beat on bastards but I feel Ghost murked that joint when he did Ghost Deini on it. He and Rae smashed that at the first rock the bells show. I remember watching it on the dvd and hearing it but I couldn't place the beat for the life of me, then it clicked. If you haven't heard it...peep it.

I thought that album was a start of something great. "Execut Them" by wu was a classic on that album.
