The best thing was it wasn't a letdown, like most Wu releases that year.

Bumped this album twice today. Still holds up. When I met Dom Pachino earlier this year, he told me Killarmy received royalties from G Unit using Shoot Out for their joint On Some Shit.

All time favorite Killa Bee album. Bangers and Sharp Lyrics from front to back.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

Take A Ride was definitely much better and most fans would tell you the same. I think Jam Master Jay was much less involved with his second album, which is why it did not turn out so good.
