Default Rza to direct "Blood Brothers" movie

It looks like MGM’s vampire buddy comedy Blood Brothers based on the Dark Horse Comics limited run is finally coming together.

Nick and Tree have smoked opium with Genghis Khan, had orgies in Michelangelo’s studio, and even fronted a death metal band. But after a century of friendship, these inseparable vampire buddies are on the verge of splitting up. Terrible timing, as an apocalypse-obsessed villain is plotting an end to humanity.

Omega Underground has learned that Rza (Cut Throat City, Love Beats Rhymes, The Man With The Iron Fists, Iron Fist) will direct and plans to begin filming on December 1st in Pittsburgh.

They’ve also hired Cut Throat City cinematographer Brandon Cox.

In 2015, Tracking Board reported that Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan was in talks to play the lead role of Tree. Jordan seemingly has an opening in his schedule as his drama Just Mercy will be wrapped by October 25th and Ryan Coogler’s Wrong Answer currently is without a start date.

Interesting enough, Pittsburgh happens to be the same location where MGM recently shot Creed 2 which stars Jordan.

The script has undergone multiple incarnations from Etan Cohen, Derek Connelly, Colin Tevorrow, and more recently with Rza taking a crack at it.

A release date for Blood Brothers has yet to be set by MGM.

Every time I see something directed by RZA it reminds me of famous works by other directors, only way worse.

Props to RZA for another directing gig! Haven't seen all his work but def liked "Man w the Iron Fists" and the episode he did for "Iron Fist" S1. He's better at directing than acting (imo) so glad hes building that muscle...

While the two are not related (lol) still want to play this banger, [NSFW]

On that note, "Blood Brothers" is an appropriate title for the premise. *Vampire bites w RZArecta fang fronts

Russel Crowe KILLED his role. He was the acting highlight of the film!

Soundtrack is a 4 out of five for me. Only did not like that one song in Chinese because I have no idea what it is talking about.

    LOL @ lost in translation

Yeah thats an accurate rating. "6 Directions of Boxing", "Sex is a Weapon" prolly my favs. Relistening and reminded how many good songs on it!

Type hyperbolic statement lol but (imo) Danny Brown might have took the whole album w the line "got the heart of a child raised by a prostitute/ who bought his mom rubbers when her Johns come thru" DAMN @ that line!

Thanks for having me revisit this solid sdtrk album!

Yeah dont understand the words but beat/music BANGS!

Having just finished relistening can give more recent feedback... Some of my favs are the soul songs actually especially "Your Good Thing" ... Only song I don't really like or rate the lowest is "Blowing in the Wind". Maybe that was an early preview of RZA9000?

Happy to have revisited this album!
