Wu-Tang: An American Saga Thread

Ok, I watched initial 3 episodes last night via You Tube. I find the series kinda corny, reminds me of cheap Hallmark shows, though i like animated parts as well as acting of guys that played Dirty and Raekwon.

Power's character is like a watered down Stringer Bell, whereas practically all Wu members (excluding ODB and Rae) were portrayed in amateurish way. The worst is definately Ghostface. I think that guy never saw a Ghostface interview let alone listened to his albums.

I guess the plot is true cause at least 10-15 persons of the Wu's inner circle are actual producers of this project though.

It would have been great if it had the tone and production values of The Wire.
That being said, it ain't half bad to watch. Putting my snobbishness aside, im enjoying it so far.
A lot of first seasons across all genres, are often disjointed and many hit shows have taken a season or two to really find its feet.

considering this is on a streaming service that I'm sure is less popular than both netflix and amazon prime, and cast with all unknown actors for the most part, I'd say the reviews have been pretty good without having seen an episode yet

The most recent episode is really good. Ghost is getting a lot of light as a character.

Ghost giving money to Gloria ('Gloria can I borrow some food I'm dead broke') was a nice touch.]

Getting tired of the kids doing interviews and having not fucking clue what wutang is lol. What a bunch of fucking weirdos. The only one that gives sensible answers is the girl that plays Rza's sister.
