I'd actually love to see a collaboration between Pusha T and La The Darkman. Their styles would go together perfectly. Sprinkle in some Willie The Kid.

    L.A.D aka LA THE DARKMAN

Beer, WIC, Food Stamps, Wine in a building that looks like an old pawn shop converted into a convenience store? That's a black demoKKKrat's Wal-Mart. LOL You know they ringing up wine and beer as "bread and milk" and taking those WIC and food stamp vouchers. Ahahaha Fucking scam artists.

Reminds me of a local store called the "Obama Mart." Every time I go in there it looks like I'm interrupting a gang meeting. I have to pack heat when I go there and I can't take the kids with me. I'm probably the only white guy who goes there so I catch glares.

Once upon a time I'd give props for the Bulls hats but fuck the NBA.

LA is definitely one of the top dudes, up there with your Sins and Priests. I been a fan since day 1 and me and LA been talking over the last few months, planning on doing a project together. Even got as far as picking the beats.

What the hold up is I'm not really sure. He seems focused to me when we talk. But it’s kinda known that getting a recording done doesn't come easy and there doesn’t seem to be a particular reason for it.

We haven’t been able to do so, so far because of Covid. But I know there’s been a project with Bronze for which beats were chosen that never came to fruition. There's one with 4th, not sure what the status is but I think beats are chosen for this aswell but no recordings as of yet.

As for Heist 2 I believe that was pretty much recorded. I was going to get one in last minute but we decided to hold it for our project.

But those producers mentioned are definites from what I understand. Not sure yet what is to become of our project yet, but the production and features are off the whizzles. If I may say so myself.

Stay tuned for all of it I guess.../hope...

Oh, and as for bringing the best out of RZA... I know it might be hard to believe or that I’m sticking up for him cause we close, but honestly noone needs to bring the best out of RZA, he got those 90s beats, he makes them, he got a stash, he just doesn’t use them. Don’t ask me why, it’s confusing and frustrating but it’s the truth. What LA does is demand to look in that box to pick and LA got a pretty decent ear for beats. So you get good stuff. Remember THE GRIND on Prodigal album? That’s a recent beat!

Isn’t the Grind off P Sunn’s first album? That’s like 15 years old, no? Peace

    Thanks for the update Cilvaringz.

On discogs it says La the Darkman is based in Atlanta, GA now.

Aphilliates Management "La the Darkman" Signs New Deal with Sony Music ATLANTA - Nov. 3, 2014
Speaking on the occasion, L.A.D. said," I feel that I have become a mature, a more complete artist now. I will continue to represent the same principles and convictions that I always have. My primary aim is to continue to help Hip Hop grow while entertaining, pushing the importance of strength, creativity and financial independence." According to the sources, the announcement was already met with favorable reactions from all quarters of the state and people are anticipating a high profile return of the rapper. L.A.D considers RZA being his mentor since he has been in the music game; he is showing the strength and influence of Wu-Tang. He will be releasing a series of EP albums starting October 31 under his new deal AMG and Sony Music titled "La Paraphernalia" then "La Familia" "La Luminati". His first album Heist of the Century was placed 37 on Billboard's "R&B/HipHop Albums" selling over 350K units independently.
350K units is a lot. At least today it would be a huge number. It had great marketing back in the 90's when it dropped.

Speaking of Killa Sin, remember this old track off the Polluted Wisdom mixtape in 2005? I found this remix

Killa Sin feat La The Darkman - Have Mercy (Remix by Vega)

It's not like La disappeared. He has mixtapes for days. I don't mind mixtapes except when DJ's are screaming over them. I also feel rage overcome me when corny DJ's play those siren sounds.

Why was La doing tracks with Lil Boosie, Souliah Boy and Lil Wayne in 2017, though? Might as well get Justin Beiber on there too. > LA the Darkman - The Lavish vs. The Savage (2017)

La The Darkman "uhhhhhhh" on a track is the new signature Master P "ughhhh"

Anyone else still bump the Wu La Familia mixtape? https://wutangcorp.com/forum/showthr...a-Familia-quot

Crazy that LA apparently got that many unreleased or unfinished projects. Thanks for the info, Cilva. I still don’t understand why he never drops an actual album though.. Bad business perhabs

RZA repurposed that same Grind beat at least 3 or 4 times in the space of a few years - An Afro Samurai track with 9th I think, Glorious Day and again on Meth's 4:21 LP

GTFOH with your racist bullshit. The NBA don't give a fuck about you anyways.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

I'd respond, but then I would just get accused of derailing another non-general chat thread.

So let's keep it on subject: La The Darkman.

You know what I like? Making children with a beautiful black woman, and wearing nothing but my red MAGA hat while I do it with La The Darkman feat. Maia Campbell - Love playing in the background. It sets the mood.
