I'm guessing the reviewer isn't a rap fan. I think hes being unfair, not all rappers that like the movie idolize Tony Montana. I feel like most of the time the film is referenced as a cautionary tale or just because its endlessly quotable and fits into drug dealing themed records well.

Still a fantastic movie. I like a lot of De Palmas films.

Hmm I gotta say I expected a lot more. But I can see what you guys mean.

I do think rap culture idolises Tony Montana. As do many other people/cultures.
