Apparently it's a cheap Chinese knock off that he's rebranding as his own. According to his Twitter he has made $250,000 in the first 24 hours of being on sale.

I haven't bought a console since the XBox 360 10 years ago, but I have an urge recently after seeing Red Dead and The Switch.

I might just wait a year or so for PS5 or whatever.

You are doing better than me. The most recent consoles I own are XBox and GameCube, which both dropped in November 2001.

I remember the first XBox was basically a giant hard drive lol. The Gamecube was abandoned by Nintendo after just a few years.

The 90s consoles were perfect little machines. Theres been games I've enjoyed since then but I missed the current consoles, maybe I'm too late.

Yeah. I am the same way. I keep myself updated, but I do not care for modern consoles too much. I am not interested in all digital download gaming with no physical media.. The day that happens, I am sticking strictly with my old consoles.

They'd like to make the new systems online only, but gamers hate the idea and it also means they can't sell many in countries with limited internet access. But realistically that won't be a problem for consoles in 10 years when broadband and 5G is everywhere.

Some site called AlieXpress or some shit sells the same emulator boxes and handhelds for like $80 and $60 respectively.

And apparently other sites sell them cheaper.
