Get Out is classic. This one looks solid just based on the trailer. If the whole movie has dramatic versions of 90s songs that'll be fun.

People say Get Out was a horror. It felt more like Satire or Sci-Fi to me. This one looks like a horror though.

I think the hype came from Get Out being unexpectedly good. Its an excellently constructed satire/thriller that you just wouldn't expect from what Peele was previously famous for.

Ignoring the hype, what was your take on Get Out?

Just saw it. This is a really interesting film that works on several different levels. The whole thing plays out like clockwork and has so much symbolism packed into it, that I think most people will find something to like about this film. It somehow reminded me of both an 80's comedy and an 80's Stephen King adaptation.

    Peele is 2 for 2.

the thing is, he isn't really doing anything different LOL, Rod serlin and Alfred hitchcok and them did it decades prior but i saw it, good movie regardless... i'll make my mind up of him after 10 films or so under his belt

Well I meant he is doing something different compared to what you get from the horror genre these days. Peace

I can see what you mean, but tbh I'm already pretty impressed at this point. I think he adds something to his films that makes them relatively unique with the comedy and social commentary.

He's at the start of a probably very cool career and has potential to make even more substantial films.
