Same here. It's a great listen all the way through. Thankfully the few skits that there are, are mostly Shaw Bros excerpts.
Deck had such hard luck early on his career, and despite that, he still comes through on clan albums and Wu general's solos - even though that support is not reciprocated by other generals. I really hope he gets some critical acclaim and attention for this one. It will hopefully be encouragement to continue making music in this vein.

any of you heard Decks flow that was cut off that tupac joint, like holy shit, if he did a whole album sounding like that over some sick twisted boom bap beats, that would be the classic he deserves

Yeah... Deck's verse on Got My Mind Made Up was pure ether. He incinerated everyone on that... That's why Tupac had it cut. Back then Deck had that kind of album cooking - Rza beats; verses from the generals... then that fucking flood happened. Deck has had the worst luck.

Album is mad dope. Lyrics might be a lot more simplistic than what we’ve heard in the past, but shit is still on some real shit and I appreciate that above anything when it comes to the current state of hip hop. Deck sounds great! He sounds energetic, hungry and street wise like a young man wise beyond his years. Beats are ill too. Looks like they found a hidden gem right there..

i absolutely also believe thats why PAC had his verse cut, he didn't wanna get outshined on that joint because Deck's verse was clearly superior to every other verse on there.

I heard this the other day n tbh I've actually had no desire to go back to it. It was OK n everything, but I can't force myself to wanna hear it again. I might try again today.

It makes me kinda sad listening to deck. He's got the most generic style of all clan members, n has done so for about 15 years now. When u think back to the forever period n how he stood out back then, it's a pity he became such a dime a dozen rapper.

But it sounded pretty decent for a deck album. There were some good beats n stuff.

So far na na na is my favourite joint too. Haven't had time to listen to the second part of the album though.

"Shaolin Rebel" sounds like a Czarface type of beat.

The problem with this album is that it lacks replay value. Nothing really stands out. It's not whack, just very average especially considering what Deck is capable of. At least with the Czarface albums the beats are more interesting and Deck sounds more dynamic on the mic.
