By jove this is a great find.
Proof positive of Rza's genius production.
90s producers were on a whole different spectrum to the lacklustre and pedestrian beat makers of today.

yeah, but that leaves room for producers to really show their original creativity.

If you think using weak drums and repetitive presets as being creative... if anything creativity has diminished.

The thing is theres still tons of great producers who sample, and tons of great ones that don't sample. It just depends what sound you're going for. I mean everybody that sampled in the 90s still does it (except RZA).

Its possible to make grimy rap tracks that sound sampled but aren't as well, I've been experimenting with sounds and effects like that recently, or you compose and record live tracks and sample them.

And I think even on ABT (which is the worst Wu LP by far) one criticism that can't be levelled at it is a lack of creativity on RZA's part.

Word sha. When rza was digi he still mixed the two. Abts sound was wayyyy too shiny for a wu album

I think ruckus in b minor the best song and i was gonna call miracle a wu classic till that disneybshit. Tye sample is so dope and rza adds a huncha unexcessary shit like he did on on 8d with unpredictables electric guitar/hook that ruined a perfectly good track

Todays music imo is very creative beat wise and now flow wise but idk ..

Rza used all that shit for his dr pepper ep.. and it was great and i was so prepared for tye album. Sinilar vibes to ruckus i. B minor

But sides ruckus in b, verses and beat of miracle, thatvrae/rza trAcks lyrics, necklace... the beats for the first time EVER iimo to rza who experimented so much..were boring. Hooks sucked. Very lil comradery. Made 8d seem like a cult classic

Still my goat producer but the album needed more time put into it like cuban linx 2 (and hopefully supreme 2)
