They think the shooting was gang related, he was in the crips. Though Alex jones followers are saying that he was killed because he was going to release a documentary about Dr Sebi. They are also claiming that Left eye was killed because of her connections with Dr. Sebi as well.
Heard his name, but only listened to a handful of songs. He was cool, but nothing particularly outstanding to me. Rest In Peace to him, sucks that he got clapped down in front of his young son.

Just came home from the barbershop, they had his Victory Lap album bumping. Heard the first few songs on it, it was okay, but nothing stuck with me as I stated before. He was apparently very active in his community and was to supposed to meet up with L.A.P.D. today to discuss anti gang violence. Sorry for his family. I never realized that Victory Lap was his first album.. I had been hearing about him since 2008, but thought he had been putting albums out since then. That is pretty impressive to be not so well known and get Grammy nominated for your debut album.. At least he died knowing he had that brief flash of mainstream potential that he unfortunately will never realize now.

I guess because he was a celebrity and it happened out in broad daylight. Somebody clearly had it out for him and he was obviously the intended target. He caught half a dozen with one in the head. I was hoping he would not die, but I could tell from how he was laying lifeless in that clip after he got shot that he was not going to make it. He had no idea that just moments after taking a flick with his son, some coward was going to come along and push his shit back right in front of his small child. Poor kid is going to be traumatized for life..
