I played some tracks on youtube tonight. Some of it sounds good, he seems like a smart guy other than the gang affiliation.

Rest In Peace Nipsey Hussle
ive seen people call him this generation's 2Pac. LOL. I think that happened when xxxtentasomething died too. I think it's unfortunate that a young positive dude went out like that but I didn't see ANYBODY talk about this dude ever before his passing.
Also decided to check a few tracks that have millions of views. All trash and he has little to no personality on tracks. RIP though
The suspect is another gang loser, I'm shocked. He goes by the rap name Shitty Cuz.

I guess he was catering to a niche market of west coast rap fans. He's been making moves and dropping mixtapes for a long time now.
And of course he's not the next Pac but I'd say he's earned his stripes.
He owned his masters as well, so all of these sales that are coming in after his death will benefit his family.
Nipsey was dope. Victory Lap is a great album and his mixtapes had some heat. It's a real shame what happened. He was really trying to better the community and had big plans/ideas.
One of the best to ever do it, if not straight up THE best outright.
Did u just call him the GOAT? Peace
Yep, He really meant GOAT legendary status.
N.I.
He's def up there at the very least. Haven't u guys noticed I've been raving about this guy for years?
Also there is no more honorable or valiant way to go than to give ur life for ur set. That's a life fulfilled. So props on that.
Yeah, you forgot in these times of hip hop, once you die, you become G.O.A.T. status by default no matter how wack or insignificant you were. So the second Nipsey Hussle was pronounced dead, here automatically earned his place amongst the likes of Rakim, KRS ONE, Big Daddy Kane, L.L. COOL J and Kool G. Rap.
LOL reading through this thread just reminds me of the cornballs we have on this website. [And I'm not just saying that because you don't like his music, that's ok with me] RIP to Nipsey, he was a real standup guy. Not gonna call him the next Pac or anything like that but he's definitely a legend on the West Coast. Definitely had a major influence on the culture outside of rhyming as well. The Victory Lap album was pretty solid. Of course people on this website would name cornball MC's like Fashawn and Murs lol.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
