honestly... lets be honest, do any of ya'll think this dude would have been able to hold down a solo career without the wutang flag behind him? i don't think he is looking at his situation clearly, dude has tried every type of hip hop genre and couldn't take off on his own accord, the dudes who actually probably would have had flourishing solo careers without being wu-tang members rarely ever whine and have this much ego. i can see a ghost or Rae or even meth making this kinda noise and being justified. meth is arguably the biggest rapper in the group who should have tons of ego but every interview he has, he reps hard, he shows gratefulness, im pretty sure he has his issues with the click but you will never ever catch meth throw Rza under the bus like that, even more ironic, the fact that he is actually Rza's protege and worked with him more immensely.

Ugods credits to 98 are:

Protect ya neck - one or the most classic bridges/defining wu slang with the suuuuuu call
Da mystery of chess boxin - i dont even love this verse as much as the world. His verse always quoted. Definition of a classic
Knuckleheadz - intro to the greatest solo album ever...
Investigative reports - one or best wu hooks ever
Black jesus - 5 star wu classic
Winter warz - wu/hip hop classic

Then he dropped wutang forever and DESTROYED it with deck. People bring up black shampoo like his verses on impossible, a better tomorrow and bells of war dont exist. It works for the album imo and if some rnb/rapper did same concept itd be a hit. He MURDERED method man on wtf. Not even close. Like dark matter said above, his shit is like a painting with all these scenes telling one story. SUPREME CLIENTELETE BEFORE SUPREME CLIENTELE....

Ugod got the shittiest rza beats yet on his album. To say he dont have the potential is asanine to me when tracks like bizarre, datz gangsta and pleasure or pain exist.

Ugod feels the other groups watered down the brand. I love sunz and oillarmy but the whole wu movement was confusing to the casual fan and those guys were a major part of the “wutang fell off” narrative. Idk how many times id see these “fake” wu albums at peoples houses and being told they suck and wu fell off. People think REDMAN is wutang, to say their was no confusion is just not paying attention.

I dont for a second think he thought priest/shabazz, sin were wack. But to say 9th , islord, werent is a lie. Mostly everyone else was average and below ugod level even. Noone brings these albums up cept wu fans. I love both groups but just watch the ODB/Royal fam performance from jones beach on youtube. Odb basically annoys timbo for mic and starts spitting “dead that wack shit..” and royal fam my fav wu killa bee group cohesion wise.

Killarmys 1st album is the ultimate zone out to production project. Maybe ugod wishes he got a wu tang records release before they got 2... or atleast capable production vs what he got. Idk. Didnt live his life wont say he wrong.

I can only talk for myself here, but the reason why I'm pissed with Uey isnt because he hasn't contributed some good shit to the Wu legacy and may have had some better albums back in the day if RZA had more focus on him. I actually like Uey usually, He comes across as quite a funny, straight up guy. But I just feel in this Vlad interview he's being over the top with his comments and rude. Like Uey has had enough chances now to prove hes a good MC, and has made a few good albums. So why he still moaning, he needs to leave that shit behind look 25 years on and he still here..Yet his son Intell seem to spit better than him most his songs. RZA had alot of his plate at the time, probably trying to hel lots of people behind the scenes too, sometimes you gotta understand the pressures RZAmust have been going through too.Although it is understandable from Uey angle how frustrating it must have been and the rest like MK and Deck,. Although Deck had a banging album made but got lost in the flood, so I reckon his 2nd version lost alot of steam compared to first, not RZAs fault just terrible accident to happen. RZA gave him the opportunity, this is echoed through out their story, so why he's gonna call him a jackass and these bad words for? Uey wasnt the best of them back in those days, yes he had his moments but no way was he the best rapper, who would have really taken him on board if it wasn't for RZA? RZA gave him a chance to shine and probably advised him to bits how to rap properly, they al told him when he was wack, so he was allowed to train up while in the Wu, this never happens in most groups, you gotta be on point from the start, but RZA saw something in him and kept him on board. So for him to just lay into RZA, Sunz of Man and Killarmy just cos he didnt get his shine is ridiculous. Sunz and Killarmy were perfect add ons to the Wu family. The were the Military and Spiritual branches of the Wu tree and angles, a perfect balance they were needed and dropped some jewels which helped alot of people so Im so glad they existed cos I doubt Uey was going to make albums of theeir depth on his own.

but based on your argument, we can also go ahead and add the fact that he is a hypocrite, im gonna throw this one out there to you and be very very honest with yourself, You claim he feels all these wu groups watered down the movement, fair enough, he is also anti wu affiliated groups right? then why the hell did he come up with hillside scramblers?
while we at it, please do make a case for why hillside scramblers are a better group than sunz of man or killarmy, ill wait. The issue with this dude is that he makes no sense, he is the dude with the lowest clout you find in most groups who end up wanting to lead, kinda reminds me of the whole busta vs leaders of the old school saga when we all knew busta was the stand out but these dudes just wouldn't accept that and alienated him and now he is a successful artist and they are nobodies.
