What's the difference what sports team you support? The players, owners, managers are from all over. Seinfeld had a bit about this, you're basically supporting the shirts.

    ^^^^

    lmao.

well all i can say is i genuinely usually dislike Pittsburgh Steelers fans and its the right thing for me to dislike Boston Redsox fans as well.

idk the point of it all tbh.

but i have meant guys who all of a sudden up out of nowhere, once Golden State started winning those championships w/ Kerr, that were all of a sudden Golden State fans, i dont like those types of people either.

^^yeah in my neck of the woods those types of peeps are called 'success supporters' and they are a real ISSUE here ...

The city I live in is the clearest example in the country (not the USA). the biggest team sport here (next to cycling) is soccer. when our city team dropped out of the national league in the 80s due to bad results (we have different level leagues, see) close to HALF of the city started supporting another city and most of them actually stuck to it when their own city team made it back into the national league

I imagine a scenario like this one would never happen in the US

of course it happens here easier since the country is so small, it doesn't take much effort to drive to the next big city and go to all their home games

for those in the know about Flanders (Dooch) I'm talking Ghent (my hometown) and Bruges (which the 'success supporters' root for, a tradition that is continued by the next generation in those families)

I am mildly disgusted by success supporters

Yea. I have a friend who is a fan of the A’s, Duke, Notre Dame

Those teams were champions In the late 80s so he began his life a bandwagon douche but since has stayed loyal so I’ll give him that.

lol they even change the shirts. I like 1:1 sports more than team sports, and usually like individuals within team sports more than the team.
Though I have noticed some fandoms are cummier than others. Cowboys, Steelers, New England and Green Bay cum to mind
