Am i the only one who thinks this is gonna bomb hard. Some classics should just be left where they ended. What happened to originality?

The book was quite disappointing. The Shining is one of his best novels, so this sequel being so so was especially disappointing.

I'm not interested in the movie.

Its surprising that anybody would want the job of directing a sequel to a Kubrick film. And this director has only done average rated horror films before, he's not an auteur.

If anything, they should have went back and done a remake of 'The Shining' first thats closer to the book, so they could set it apart from anything Kubrick.

^u know there's already another version of 'the shining' that follows the book closely? I wouldn't even call it a remake. It was just a much different version, that followed the book. It's also old though. Probably not that much later than the jack Nicholson one.
