GZA has sounded like that for years when he’s spitting live. Always sounds like he’s trailing behind the beat.

But then he spits that verse at 9:40 which sounded dope as fuck!! And the tempo was much faster than the actual Mexican track posted earlier in the thread.

True. But then again bear in mind, he is turning 53yrs in a month or so. He was in his late twenties when he made Liquid Swords. The fact that he is still there performing is a blessing. He also has a tendency of drinking too much prior to a show. I saw him perform LS in its entirety in Camden, London back in 2007. He was late on stage and slurring and forgetting lines from the get go.

He's only a few years older than the other Wu members who all still sound on point. Age isn't a good excuse. Its sad if he really doesn't give a fuck and is drinking his way through these tours.

I think he's into his lecturing and science stuff more than music. I can see Dark Matter being his final project, unless RZA decides he wants to produce LS2.

One of my favorite rappers of all time though, I hope Dark Matter drops in the end.
