There's never going to be a winner to liberals versus conservatives. Any government that is fully conservative is basically fascistic. Any government thats fully socialist is a disaster.
There's no evidence to support the idea that having one side solely in charge is a good idea.
the republican underclass has been abandoned on a sinking ship and the republican upperclass has become a-political, 90 years old, globally minded, or 'moderate democrats'. So a sliver of the republican underclass believes it will end elections and America if need be. The internet wing of the republican underclass believes it can hatch 'plans' to end the process as a whole because America is supposed to be a white ethno state that exists to give white men a leg up. If that can't/won't be the case then they would rather end America.
so they're not really saying the government should be conservative. Almost all minorities are conservative. They're saying the government and culture should exist to validate and support white men as was the original promise given to them for except their lot in life as hoosiers. Most white men aren't with that idea anymore because it's stupid and weird and they have a whole entire life to live thinking about less dumb shit, but there are left overs still clinging. White women are near universally over it being more reality focused than men as a whole. If they're not, spending time with 'clingers' usually makes them realize this is stupid and they move on. Mainly because they would rather relish in an 11th grade level understanding of the more TV-show like parts of the past (communists verse capitalist, fantastically allusions to WWII)
But the republican underclass is made up of physically inept, cowardly impressionable, insecure, mentally unimpressive people who have allowed companies to build their culture, and convince them that 'the government you made not giving you shit' is a virtue. They eat horrible unhealthy food as a virtue, and think everything that will actually make you valuable in any sort of fight is 'gay'. So a group of people that gullible, half-dead and useless are going to keep scheduling civil wars and race wars until the end of time (tyme)

If Bernie wins the primaries, the upperclass republicans will shift back to the right because he's coming after their money. Traditional big money needs a political home and Bernie's wing is making the democratic party uncomfortable for them. Also making them irrelevant in campaign financing. If that doesn't work then the new left and the new right will both be in the democrat party. with the republicans serving as a backbone from the new-new left while also disintegrating into 100s of goofy little parties that reflect their online factions.
