Default Where tf do you guys d/l your music from

its been getting progressively harder and harder for me to find d/l links of newer albums when they release.

i used to be really good at it. but idk with this whole new INFLUX and FOCUS on digital streaming im beginning to wonder that fucking no one cares to upload music to be downloaded so it can be played elsewhere other than a phone, which practically has everything anyone could need all in one place.

well me i dont have a smart phone so i am still in the old school way of downloading my music (not paying) and putting it on flash drives for my car or my ipod for personal use.

so im asking y'all if you got any good sites you can break me off with.

i stepped away from torrents some time ago as i basically used them for discographies and now that im a bit older i have pretty much listened to everyones discography that i care to so i have moved onto downloading album by album and usually they are newer releases etc etc.

hit my DM's if you could cause i dont think your allowed to post sites like that on here.

this comes up because i want to download the new James Blake album and the new Charli XCX album and i have been looking for a couple days to no prevail.

if anyone could please help a kid out itd be highly appreciated.

    thanks

They're shutting these sites down all the time now. I know some Hip Hop sites but they won't be any use for what you want and they'll probably get shut down soon anyway.

In the future your best bet is probably to go back to torrents even if its just for individual albums rather than wasting your time scouring the net. Everything's on youtube or streaming programs anyway so the demand for downloading/uploading albums is much lower than a few years ago. Also get a smartphone lol.

That James Blake LP is dope btw, one of my favorite pop albums of recent years.

i guess your right. thats where i have been listening to the James Blake tape for the time being... youtube.

    and about Assume Form.

    that shit is top notch.

wayyy better than The Colour of Everything. i was getting concerned when his work wasnt as fucking dark and sad and miserable as when he started but i think this is tight and a great representation of what he is capable of paired with his new found happier attitude.

i love Andre and i love that track... but imo 3K is the weakest link on that track. i think the Mile High track is light years better (feature wise) and i dont even know who those people are. because this youtube playlist does not have the features named lolz and i have not gone out of my way to research any other information about this album.

ALSO. album cover is pretty damn cool. i love it.

    lolz.

very good album yes. i listen to a lot of pop.

The Colour In Anything was okay but it felt uninspired, this was a return to form. On this album he has some really moving, humanistic songs.

Travis Scott was on Mile High. It's worth exploring his catalog if you're not familiar with him, he's got some dope stuff.

The song with Andre was dope. I'll take what I can get, but I really want an OutKast or Andre album at some point. It has to happen.

    i agree.

but i think we all want that.

but i think what needs to happen is a 3K solo album cause Big Boi is doing the same shit. not saying he is bad but like i know if 3 Stacks comes with a project its gonna have top notch features and producers.

the dude only fucks with the best. Frank Ocean, James Blake, you bring up that Travis Scott name and i think he had a feature on Birds sing McKNight album or something of his. not too familiar with him other than he was probably influenced by 808's Kanye and i know he was fucking with Thugs producer Alex Tumay for the longest time. and he is having sex with a karadashian lol

in case you were wondering the new Charli XCX album is kinda not that good. she has so much potential idk what the fuck she does with it. #1 Angel tape was fucking amazing but she is just idk her brain is not fully functioning i think.

its too all over the place. she cant distinguish between her really dope tracks and just an average track. imo.

i will say 3K is known for some of the best feature verses, as is Kanye, but yo the past couple feature verses that have came out from Charli this year have been fireeeee.

and then she goes out of her way to make this album smh. maybe itll grow on me. idk

He's said he only does the features because people ask him. I think that if he does a solo album it will probably be 99% him and maybe a few features like The Love Below. I think it would be great.

There's something about OutKast together though, they bring out the best in each other. Plus they kind of faded out, their legacy deserves better. Big Boi & Sleepy Brown are dropping an album soon, I think its legit going to be the best project to come out of that whole crew since Stankonia.

yeah soulseek is hitting the spot right now,

a friend of mine gave me a client that enables me to download full albums straight from bandcamp, thats pretty neat for all the not so popular/underground shit i find interesting on there.

and brock.. Mister Yo is his own publicist that's why his music is so dope... duh

How could we setup a Wu Corp Online Database for music?

What is your backup if Soulseek goes down?

I use JDownloader 2.0 to basically grab any stream on any website. Anything streamed can be downloaded.

    JDownloader 2.0
    https://jdownloader.org/download/index

Make sure you get the 2.0 version because the old 1.0 version had some bullshit adware.

And PM me for my soulseek username. http://www.slsknet.org/news/

for new hiphop I go to the boomcrib website. they have all the latest albums

    https://boomcrib.com/

there are easy online YT and soundcloud rippers, I don't use a program

my only 'computer' is a job issued Chromebook so I gotta be careful with it. torrenting etc is out of the question. new program installs require a check with the ICT team. regular users don't have rights to install anything
