Default Bong Joon Ho - 'The parasite' (new South Korean movie)

GREAT movie. I absolutely loved it. I hope it's being released in US theaters too.

it starts out as a comedy about a poor yet resourceful family who work their way into a rich family's home but it slowly turns into something rather sinister. it adds a layer of social criticism too. the acting is top notch too

I can honestly say my buddy and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie

here's an interview with the director about the movie. I haven't watched it myself, it might contain *spoilers* so beware

this definitely qualifies as one of those 'mindfuck movies' gravey started a thread about

even at the closest movie theater to me... in recent memory.

Ex-Machina got a limited screening. that Cure for Wellness movie got a limited run. Neon Demon got a limited run.

they would only play once or twice a day and only for a week or two. shits a joke around here.

maybe in LA or NY or something but even though that could be pushing it. Nick Cave came out with a movie last year or two years ago, One More Time With Feeling and it was supposed to get a few limited screenings in the US but my theater never got it. i assume it was just like LA probably anyway.

    its a shame.

honestly it kinda reminds me of Borgman.

how there is a difference between classes which was a bit of a theme in Borgman.

wouldnt really say social justice but cant say for sure due to not having seen the flick yet and seeing the twists if any etc etc

They played previews for it when I recently went to see Lighthouse and Joker so it’s definitely playing in the US.

When you actually realize what Borgman is about, that movie becomes super fucking creepy
