Fuck yeah. A24 is the best movie studio around at this point. This film looks great as well:
totally agree, they have put out some of my fav movies over the past few years, especially the whole psychological horror genre.

I didn't recognize Adam Sandler at first.
Looks cool.
this should win an award for most noisiest movie ever made in history
Oh Shit though
I didn't realize this was a Netflix movie. gonna watch it later.
Dope film, compelling from start to finish. Safdie Bros made this really tense and with a vivid sense of place and time. Sandler is great as Howard Ratner, a complete maniac whose instincts are consistently at odds with reality.
Sandler has to do more shit like this. He's been making films for 30 years and might hold the record for making more empirically bad films than anyone in history. But he can clearly do better, I mean this is easily above anything else he's ever done.
That's the Safdie Bros style, they use this electronic artist Oneohtrix Pt Never to do the scores. I think it gives the film this constant tension, its like the buzzing of all the stuff in the character's head.
This chick in the movie is insanely hot.
very solid flick.
KG killed the role of playing... KG. absolutely amazing. lol.
dont think this movie would have worked as well without Sandler as the lead role. knowing him as a "funny guy"/actor really hit home when your seeing his character be a complete fuck up and a mess due to his actions.
i dont like Adam Sandler but he definitely killed his part. would love to see more films like this from him.
would also like to see more movies where Jim Carry does shit like Number 23 and Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind. that was the first thing i thought about when someone said Adam Sandler was doing a serious role in a movie.
id def recommend this. i thought the music was great. btw there was a lot of yelling but hey, that was all part of the characters imo.
^ It's worth checking out the film 'Good Time' which Safdies also directed. It's not as good as Uncut Gems, but its definitely entertaining and pretty nuts.
thanks for the rec.
one of my irl boys has been mentioning that movie and ive been side stepping. didnt really seem to interested in the premise...
nevertheless after yet another person, you, mentioned it i decided to give it a view just last night...
wasnt impressed. could see the comparison to UG but for me it just wasnt there.
i did think The Lighthouse with Pattinson was a rather compelling watch.
Great film! I enjoyed KG playing KG. Adam S. performed beautifully. I've watched this film four times already. The ending stills shocks me.
Loyalty is Royalty. Strength and Loyalty
Safdie brothers also made Heaven Knows What, which is a good movie.
I liked Uncut Gems. I liked Good Time better tho.
pretty meh movie
its not that bad but there's nothing special about it
