Maybe Avatar 2's revenue is an incentive? And there's more source material as well so the plot is sort of already there, like with 'Dune'

Movie 1 was pretty light on plot (but big on aymosphere and impressive imagery) so I understand why you say you hardly remember the movie. It's just Big Willie and his dog versus zombies in a dead NYC

The 1st installment was one of the good Will Smith movies to me. Imo he's made a lot of meh stuff too. I'd def watch a part 2 once it hits streaming services.

First was fantastic. The sequel/prequel rumor has been around since its release. Apparently the success of Last of Us helped green light this. Hopefully the ship didn’t sail. 300 and Sin City are perfect examples of modern day classics that shoulda been left as is. Peace
