Long post but I am compelled to defend myself. I don't expect many waste time to read this.
First, I will prelude this by honestly saying that I respect Hal and all the people who comment here. I respect Wu-Tang as musical artists and the charity work they've done and respect the fact that this is Cilvaringz' website. And I respect the moderators who Cilvaringz has entrusted to be moderators.
My ideas, thoughts, religious views, politics, opinions and comments are not reflective or representative of Wu-Tang or the owner of this website or others who come to this website. They are merely my own.
That said, I am not scared of hurting people's feelings or making them upset by challenging their ideas or opinions or religious beliefs or political beliefs. Frankly, people's emotional reactions to my opinions, beliefs and ideas are not something I concern myself with when I comment. I don't go out of my way to offend people here. I try not to engage in personal attacks and if I ever did it was probably just a failed attempt at being funny or teasing that didn't translate well. If you're offended because I criticized a Wu-Tang song you liked, or liked a Wu-Tang song you don't like, or criticized your religious beliefs or criticized your political beliefs, well, I'm actually not sorry unless you can persuade me that I misrepresented something, in which case I have enough humility and honesty to admit when I am wrong.
If that's the case, then debate me and explain why something I believe is horrible, reductive, or dumb. Show evidence to support that claim. It is quite possible some things I have said over the course of nearly 3,000 comments were indeed dumb or horrible. Especially over the course of nearly 15 years commenting here, sometimes sparsely. I know for sure that things I believed 15 years ago are not still beliefs I hold today, nor will my beliefs today necessarily be the same ones I hold 15 years from now. People who know me never accused me of being dumb. They have from time to time accused me of being an asshole, and sometimes I am. If I'm an asshole, much of it is from constantly being called a racist by a bunch of frauds who injected race when race has nothing to do with what I say. Or it is because people who hold dissenting views as I sometimes do are constantly being deplatformed and censored by bigots who like to call the people they are intolerant of bigots, just like the fascists (antifa and BLM) like to call people fascists or people who needlessly inject race into something that has nothing to do with race call people racists. It's called projection. Calling others what you yourself are. I'm not the one being intolerant and resorting to censorship. I'm merely challenging others to civil debate, not contests who can call each other the most names. Hal just yesterday posted something making fun of old people. We're allowed to be comedic at others' expenses. An octogenarian granted with moderation powers might come on here and moderate and censor Hal's comments.

I'll show you the excerpts from the Quran and then you can debate me and show me why I am "dumb" or "horrible" for showing you what the scripture of the religion I am mocking actually says. I think it is horrible to worship a prophet who deals slaves or marries 6 year old girls. So you and I have two different views of what is horrible. You can likewise criticize verses in the Bible which you believe makes my Christian faith foolish. It's fair game. I won't demand your comments be censored. It is fair to challenge what I believe.
Keep in mind that the politician I was making fun in my censored comment for having toilet paper around her head has said very hateful, disgusting things about Jews in public. B-Dolo challenges my politics and does it civilly and I like the debate. I went years without taking any interest in engaging in politics. It is indeed a controversial, divisive subject to discuss as well as philosophy and religion. It's easier to censor me or ignore me or delete my comments then actually win a debate against me. I get it. I wouldn't discuss politics if I wasn't well researched, able to win the debates and back up my comments with evidence, or capable of accepting I am wrong when I am wrong (and sometimes I am). I try to avoid discussing subjects I don't know much about, or at least avoid trying to market myself as an authority on subjects for which I can't defend what I say.

This isn't my forum. And the primary subject here is Wu-Tang. I don't write the rules and I respect the rules.
In fact, most of the time I am in contrary to the status quo here, not only in politics or religion but often on the subject of what music I like or which Wu-Tang songs I like. I didn't come here seeking out like minded people on any other subject than Wu-Tang. I am not a follower. I'm not scared of being called names. I'm not scared of being called racist, which is merely a baseless weapon that demoKKKrats attempt to use to short circuit what could otherwise be a productive debate. My half black children tell me they love me every day and their acceptance and love and affirmation is all that matters to me. They don't think daddy's racist. The United States Department of Census considers me a racial minority myself, not a racist white supremacist. Strangers on the internet who think I am racist for supporting Trump calling me racist doesn't hurt my feelings in the least bit.
If politics are too toxic to discuss, or religion is too sensitive a topic, then we can make the subjects off limits even in the general chat section. Wu-Tang fans never struck me as being a wimpy, sensitive bunch of people. We can return to gay jokes, photo shopping dicks in peoples mouths, posting pornography and other pointless banter that arguably was toxic garbage in the general chat section. Frankly, I like for my ideas, thoughts, opinions, and comments to be challenged, refuted, debated, or even ridiculed. I don't like them being censored, though. I am not above criticism or immune from debate nor are my opinions etched in stone or my philosophy too rigid to be persuaded. Nor are my ideas or thoughts or opinions necessarily better than anyone else's. I don't purposely try to seek out like minded people. I don't like circle jerks of like minded people merely confirming each others biases. I could go over to Breitbart and circle jerk with other Republicans and never be challenged on anything I say.

The misogyny in rap music doesn't seem to have offended most people here. The fake moral outrage seems to be selective and cherry picked, full of double standards and inconsistencies. Dr. Dre is accused of hitting women but you're still going to listen to your NWA album. Certainly you could find musicians with higher moral standards than your standard rapper. So why pretend to be the arbitrator of all that is right versus wrong?

Sense-A, I read your whole reply as it is only fair to take the time out to read your reaction to me editing your post. I think you mentioned a lot of things that make sense (pun intended) in your reply, like some parts discussing religion, keeping politics out of other sections and me making jokes at the cost of others. Your post was well balanced and thoughtful and devoid of the anger I have sensed increasingly in some of your posts in the last two weeks or so. Sometimes I get the impression you write yourself into a frenzy.
As a non US citizen I am not familiar with Ilhan Omar and the extent of her hate speech. This, of course, comes with me being non American. Still, I don't know whether the part quoted by Ironman isn't very hateful either and actually instigating hateful action. There is a lot of anger in those words and that doesn't sit well with me. Is it a reason to censor? I have now become unsure after your reaction. I did not censor your post based merely on the picture you provided and her being black, but on the very description you gave of her as quoted by Ironman combined with her being black and what I took as the pinnacle of some angry posts you have made recently. You might say you would say the same thing about a non black person but I don't have the impression we've already seen that happen with the same viciousness.
I get what you were saying with the Hitler thread and censorship (ironically I closed the thread but I did get the point) but we're talking here about a guy whose death count is only second or third to Mao's and Stalin's. It's just bad taste. I'm sure ol' Hitler could whip up a mean schnitzel in his downtime but frankly I could care less about his painting or his cooking. People in Europe lived through Hitler, we have the stories to prove it, we react to that differently than what is essentially an outsider perspective (unoccupied US in WWII). I can tell you my grandfather did not spend his 3 years as a POW in Austria (well, the third reich) putting Hitler paintings on the wall of the traffic tunnel he had to dig through a mountain before he could make his escape and join the French resistance, smuggling food from unoccupied France (the Vichy regime) to Belgium. I do not mean to write this down as a sob story at all, just to provide some context.
Essentially, it looks like I missed some US context and you missed some European context. It happens.
Now I don't know if you agree with me but over the last few weeks your posts have become more aggressive, at least in my eyes. I get that you are not on board with Democrat politics (lol I think we all get that) which you are obviously entitled to. Even if it wasn't racist, it was just kind of a pointless thing to say. If the woman is a racist, how is making a goofy dad joke about her headdress going to make you seem like a smarter or better person?
Is this a new policy about racist posts being removed? Or is it just being enforced more now? I had pointed out racist posts that tsa had made (there are plenty of them) referring to all whites as evil and this and that, and I don't recall the posts being deleted.
