the track was originally just called 'INTRO' (to Ron G's 'It's On : Part 2' mixtape from 1994 or 1994)

apparently Ron G was known for having emcees record extra verses for existing tracks to put on his mxtps (info via notoriousonline.org, props), which made the O.C. verse 'exclusive' (if I interpreted people in the know's opinion correctly)
