    https://www.factmag.com/2012/08/24/the-most-overlooked-hip-hop-lps-of-the-90s-part-two/

that IAM album mentioned in the list was huuuge in some European countries. a few albums in there which are new to me

a list for 2020 so far, I came across some releases I was unfamiliar with, maybe there's something in there for you too

the recommendations list from RapReviews (incl. 2020 so far) is always a good place to see what great albums some of us missed

I'm gonna check out that Boldy James album in a minute based on these lists

Thanks. I'm going to have to comb through these lists.

I still think some of the best, most slept on music is all the unsigned bedroom producers who only posted music on soundcloud or on youtube that eventually gets lost over time.

    This first list is:
    Street Fighter: The Soundtrack (1994)
Boogiemonsters – Riders of the Storm: The Underwater Album (1994)
Prince Paul – Prince Among Thieves (1999)
Ugly Duckling – Fresh Mode (1999)
    Smif-n-Wessun – Dah Shinin’ (1995)
Pharoahe Monch – Internal Affairs (1999)
Ice Cube – The Predator (1992)
    Hieroglyphics – 3rd Eye Vision (1998)
Camp Lo – Uptown Saturday Night (1997)
    Pharcyde – Labcabincalifornia (1995)

Honestly, I owned all those albums except the street fighter soundtrack, boogiemonsters and ugly duckling. So I'd say those 3 are the standouts on the list if they hold up to scrutiny.

I never heard of THE NONCE - WORLD ULTIMATE

I burned that SCARAMANGA - SEVEN EYES, SEVEN HORNS CD way back when but never appreciated it.

ORGANIZED KONFUSION - THE EQUINOX is another good one You could probably include others of theirs

CELLA DWELLAS - REALMS AND REALITY

I think I've actually seen black sheep in concert twice.

    I don't know much about IAM - L’ECOLE DE MICRO D’ARGENT

EXTRA PROLIFIC - LIKE IT SHOULD BE

Y’ALL SO STUPID - VAN FULL OF PAKISTANS

    That was a good list.

I'm going to add Mountain Brothers - Self Volume 1.

They released one album that just had great production and good concepts and lyrics. They were 3 Asian guys, so it wasn't marketable in the era of gangsta rap or p diddy dance rap, but they had core element hip hop skills and there was a huge underground Asian breakdance scene around that time.

Music video for "Galaxies: The Next Level" by recording artists Mountain Brothers. From the 1999 album "Self: Volume 1."

^^ I have their Triple Crown album( https://www.discogs.com/Mountain-Bro...n/master/76972 ) but I never listened to it much. IIRC it was heavy on scratching? It's been a really long time lol. I'll go dig it out the crates today. RN I'm listening to Black Moon's Enta Da Stage, which Satan posted about. Been too long I listened to that one too!

I'll see if I can DL Mountain Brothers' 'Self : Volume 1'

That Mountain Brothers 'Triple Crown' album is much better than I remrmbered it. I remember buying it based on a positive review but not really being used to this kind of hiphop back then (I was more into gangsta rap). this album is really really solid!

I wish Camp Lo kept the quality level up. All the leftovers from the Uptown era are fantastic but I only like random songs after that.
