Default Shitao - " The day she arrives " LP

    Hi all,

My new LP, "The day she arrives" is available on my bandcamp.

You can listen to it and download it right now.

In a few days, it will be available on Spotify, Deezer, Apple music etc.

In a week or two, I will propose a crowdfunding on qrates.com to press 100 vinyl records.

After twelve years, a new collaboration between Snjezana Josipovic and Shitao.

Two photographs and twelve tracks to imagine a story whose first words would be "The day she arrives... ».

    Have a good listening.

The crowdfunding vinyl campaign « The day she arrives » begins today on Qrates.com.

We have 41 days to reach the goal of 100 pre-orders for the campaign to be successful. If that's the case, I would send my masters to Qrates so that they can do a specific mastering for vinyl.

The price of 22 euros is the minimum price so that this project does not cost me money. It has always been important for me to offer my music for free but if I want to propose a physical project, I have no choice.

So, for your collection or just to listen on your turntable, it’s here :

I like Familiar voice. If I had to guess you sampled The Robe or a similar peplum movie.

Track 3 sounds like a sample of Charlton Heston from The Ten Commandments.

Track 3 sounds great. Relaxing chill out beat.

Drums on track 4 bang. Great strings. The drums on The Ceremony, however, sound a bit too much crunched as if you downsampled all the way to 8 bit. Almost sounds like my sherman filterbank when it gets out of control. Love the voice sample on that one, though. And the eerie piano.

It's really a thought provoking instrumental album so far.

How much would it cost for me to get a vinyl LP to the USA?

Obviously it is expensive to ship from Europe to USA. Is there any way you can get a distributor inside the USA to reduce shipping?

22 euros is $25 USD which is kind of steep if shipping gets added to that.

Anyways, the album sounds something special and it makes me want to check out your other work such as Sunless and No Bridge Behind.

Your drums on most of these tracks sound great. I'm guessing you sample them at about 28khz 12 bit, but if you are willing to share your secrets, please do.

Bumped this joint today. Great shit, bro. Enjoyed it. Do people ever rap or sing over ur jams? Would like to hear it. I think a female singer would work well. I find ur steez more reminiscent of something like portishead than I do any hip hop producer I can think of.

Great work tho. Like ur other tapes I've heard, holds up as an instrumental album.
