This is a good listen, I think it's a step forward from the last tape. The vibe is really cool with all the funky guitar samples, it has a throwback, almost jiggy feel in places which I dig.

hell yeah. thats all good to hear, thank you.

JRSAMPLES is a monster with the sampled beats. he sticks to themes and concepts for each one of his beat tapes so i thought it would be smarter to pull from a small select concession of his tapes rather than his whole catalog and it appeared to have had the effect i wanted to achieve.

with us and this being our third tape, i think throughout the three years we have worked together we have learned a lot from each other and how to balance everything and approach tracks. and i dont see that getting any worse carrying on, only better.

making collaborative/full length group projects is a much different process than just hopping on a posse track with two or three other artists for a song here and there.

its nice to have an ample selection of beats to fall back on so the producer is always just as important as the cohesion of the emcees who are utilizing the beats.

i can agree that the last tape, Vol. 1, was a bit... rough around the edges. the lyrical content and flow creativity was definitely there and solid but as a whole, front to back, it kind of fell flat, especially in comparison to this tape.

but halfway though creating V1 i lost touch with the producer who was my very good friend from Brazil... i still to this day have not heard from him, no one has, i am expecting the worst. the kid was really talented. but losing him not even half way though the tape, made me have to dig into the archives and throw together some of his beats that really werent quite what i perceived the album to be. but i pulled enough, redeemable quality beats, to flesh it out into the fifteen tracks to keep a state of uniformity for the future Vol. installments.

    because im anal like that.

    lol

unless you were talking about auto.lyricism lol then that is a whole different discussion.
