This might be the greatest rap album of all time
Everybody knows their big hit, but this album is immense - it's really funny and smart, well written, great jazzy beats. They were as good as Tribe or De La and should have been just as big.
Actually their 2nd LP was dope too, it just couldn't compete in 1994.
One of my favorite songs from the album. Just an amazing song.
They suffered from (IIRC) being the last in the Native Tongues to release an album. Great album indeed.

^ Totally agree, they were the last Native Tongues group to drop, they could have been bigger. On their 2nd LP they went more hardcore/serious because that was the trend at that time and it just got lost in the mist.
I'd put this album in my top ten rap albums ever, been listening to it again for the last few weeks and it doesn't get old. Dres is an amazing emcee, you really feel like he was expressing his whole philosophy and his wild sense of humor on this album. He alone would have been a superstar if there was any justice.
