So far Side A is ok. Waiting for Side B. Stove God Cooks working OT on the hooks, he reminding me of Krayzie Bone on Art of War lol
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

Westside has an outgoing and flashy style (visually), but I can't take him seriously as an MC. To me, he's more like a hype man. Conway and Benny can actually spit, and Stove God Cooks is really good. But props to Westside for bringing out Slick Rick on his last album. That was a pleasant surprise. Slick is in his 50s, but damn he can still rhyme

    Co-sign on ALL of that.

    Rick is still THE RULER.

This beat deserves better verses. First track off Donda I'm hearing.

Prob one of the better tracks on Donda, I think they did a better job than you might expect for this type of track/subject matter.

    Short verses though.

^ He's on several tracks on HWH8. Everybody killed their features on this thing. It feels like a group album with Gunn in charge.
