Nice album art. I'd read sometime this week Nas wanted to 'address the beat issue' by going w/ Hit-Boy, I hadn't realized an album was coming so soon
The lead single drops in a few hours.
Hit-Boy is decent but I'm not sure if he's a good match, not all but a lot of his beats are trap, and there's nothing more cringe than old NY rappers on trap beats.
Just looking at his credits, recently he did 'The Blinding' for Jay Electronica, 'Sicko Mode' for Travis Scott, stuff for Juice Wrld, so I guess he's more relevant than I thought.
This came outta nowhere. Hope this is a real album and not some bullshit six track ep
N.I.
Not the official drop, so will probably get taken down.
Nas affirmed today the album's gonna have 14 tracks (like the link Sha posted in the OP already suggested)
that Hit-Boy beat on Ultra Black works well with Nas' flow and is in line with a lot of his (better) beat selection on previous albums
for me this track works as a sign that the album might be good
Not feelin the beat
This is a dope track, I'm feeling it.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

Firm track? Wow. Peace
It will be cool to hear The Firm again. I don't even think Fox Boogie has made a song in the last 10 years, and Nas & AZ are a great duo.
Yeah and having Cormega and Nas on a song together for the first time in twenty years is great also. Wish Nature was on it also.
Album is out.
